I had a chance to meet CC soon after we formed our tribute and he was surprisingly polite, very smart and extrememly funny. When I (nervously) informed him I was his counterpart in a Poison tribute, he said in a modest tone, "I am flattered. Thank You so much." Wow, I was floored!
He has been a very supportive friend ever since and a big inspiration. Very cool guy!
Don't know much about his guitar playing, but this guy has always been the best interviewee of all time. This guy is a walking sound bite. I could listen to him for days.
One of these days I'll have to check out his music.
Go to You Tube and do a search for Keith Carmichael/Faithfully and give it a listen. You will be glad that you did. It is absolutely magnificent and would make Steve Perry proud. Be sure to rate the video and share with your friends.
cause cc is a jerk... this guy is a greedy basterd.. ask him how he acts against people that doesn't pay his 10k for his appearances.. this guy talks about grace??
He really has turned himself into a stable, decent guy. He could have kept living that life of excess but he got out of it. Good on him to, and he still rocks!
Give th guy a break, do you not hear him, do you think hes bullshitting. I hate Poison, but I relate and understand what he is saying, and it takes balls to be honest like that, so fuk U.
its great to hear someone whos been there n done it , its great to see someone who as matured , life is full of lessons n cc has found the way to evolve . all of us shd take note , especially edward van halen .God bless him and all the best , im very thankful that hes so good at expressing himself . Hes an inspiration, cc n poison keep on rockin!!!!!
Are you for real? Holy crap, downin, "cc has found the way to evolve." Give us all a break and try not to be such a slave to your prejudices, man. Glad you're a fan of this guy's music, but there's nothing exemplar about this guy's life.
Well spoken. Guys like CC are classic examples for "don't speak just play". He struggles with seeking for the right expressions even if it might be a simple word and talks about simple and banal things with wide open eyes. Good for him that he came out of the depth, but his brain is damaged for sure. No balance, he's almost shouting. Excuse possible spelling mistakes, i didn't take CC's drugs :D, it's just that English is not my first language (German Kraut ;))
@gnr15555 He does doesnt he? Doesnt look at all like hes 48, could pass for being in his 30s, I was quite shocked to realise hes 48.
He's a legend though, pure under appreciated legend, what I love about what I like in music, is I always seem to go for the under rated guitarists, but hey thats just me, I love it!
@gnr15555 Hes making me genuinely smile aswell, which is quite funny, he sounds like he gets (or even looks like), he gets soo excited about what either hes playing or talking about, the sign of a great guy!
I mean I have seen videos of Les Paul talking about the guitar he made or designed for Gibson, he called it the les paulveriser (excuse spelling), really made me laugh out loud, I was a bit like woooowww im laughing am I insane? LOL
WOW the wisdom he speaks about seeing GRACE in people and how he use to cut them short and understanding where others are at when we encounter them at life. THATS FREAKEN AWESOME INSIGHT. tHATS HUMILITY
Really good to hear him talk and get his point across.. Cool If i didn't know any better, just listening, I'd almost think I was listening to Joe Pesci......LOL
I am the same age as CC and been going to concerts since i was 14.I must say that POISON treats there fans like friends and they are the coolest musicians i ever met!!Plus, they put on a hell of a show!!
Hello, I am 49 years old, There was a memorial show in 1990, it was for Mr. Leo Fenders Memorial Concert ( he died in that year, his namesake is on the Fender Guitars) this show was in Irvine, California. there were several acts, that played guitar, one of them Mr. CC Dedeville, he was Literally -actually -unplugged from the show. , reason being ...he was so drunk he was swearing, He was playing a White Les Paul Guitar, WTF?.
I had a similar experience with C.C. In 1993, I was an 18-year-old college student living in San Antonio, TX. Poison had just broken up, and C.C. was promoting the movie "Son In Law". I won a contest to meet him, and hang out with him for the evening. He was coked out of his mind, but extremely gracious. I will always remember that evening with him. I still have the photo of he and I in front of the movie theater together. I'm glad to see he has found the Lord, and realizes his blessings.
CC give yourself more credit. In about 2000 I walked into a Texaco at 10am for a cup of coffee, and you were standing right next to me doing the same. I asked why you were in my town (Vegas) and he said he was playing with his band Samantha 7 that night at a small club close by, then invited me to come. He was completely cool, gracious, no star trip at all. Great show for about 150 people and he talked about 1/2 the time (imagine that!) I got some pics with a fuji disposable. CC fan forever !
poison came to my home town back in the late 80's .I had some good friends who were out riding their four wheelers and met them .they were out riding their dirt bikes with the crew .They not only invited my friends to ride them .They even gave them backstage passes .Really cool guys!
Wow! This guy is talking straight from the heart. He has very obviously been "working"..and yes, the word is "working" on his inner self. This guy is a real man. A stud. Thanks for this, CC!
I do know CC is on the top 10 best guitar heros along with Jimmy Page,Jimmy Hendrix,Eddie Van Halen,Stevie Ray Vaughen,CC DeVille.I had the honor of meeting him and he is awesome.Poison is a cool band and they never think they are too good to meet there fans. They dont treat there fans like shit like some bands!!
Saw Todd Rundgren back when Utopia were touring their Oops Wrong Planet album and he was a very cordial type guy too. It's cool when you can see an act that are willing to humble themselves vs. walking about with a over inflated ego. After all we are all just people regardless of standing.
did i miss something he had a hard time sayin 2000s so n e one no wut happened
