  • 1:01 bears a striking resemblance to Chani.

  • These are really cool, thanks for sharing!

  • I was so proud on the Atari 800 when I drew a female's ass and was able to jerk off successfully to it. Wish I still had my artwork.

  • @CthulhuMessiah wahahahaha

  • i love that house pic at 0:23... looks so cool

  • all are pictures from old Cga games which everyone had back then.

  • The lettering ones are just awesome, I would love to comission some lettering in that style by one of the masters some day. No kidding.

  • TOTALY AWESOME!

  • Damn that's fantastic

  • That artwork is amazing.

  • how do u draw with atari 800???? i wanna do this lol!!!!!

  • Awesome! :)))

  • i know why everyone is here :)

  • nice!!! =)

  • the hands at 1:29 was my favorite. and the tank was cool, too.

  • Eh, wspomnienia. Tak myślałem że jesteś Polakiem, tylko u nas legenda Atarynki żyje nadal i ma się dobrze ... chlip ...

P.S.: Muzykę zrobił Marcin "Cedyn" Czartyński ? To moim zdaniem najlepszy polski kompozytor, jeśli chodzi o gry.

  • @samaelscorpse: bo tylko takie kompy były w Peweksie :P. A na zachodzie C64 rządziło.

  • That is some pretty awesome stuff.

  • you're an artist!

  • Haha! ST-Fag!

  • GREAT!!!!!!! I LOVE IT! WHERE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS! I MADE THE MUSIC FOR A SMALL GROUP CALLED DS12 ON THE PRO-TRACKER! FUCK, I MISS IT!

  • witam Titus, aż się łza w oku kręci jak sobie przypominam ten SS,

    mistrzostwo świata :)

    Tiger / New Generation

  • Genuine pixelwork, good job mate. I remember doing pictures myself on A500. Same thing - pixel after pixel... THAT was magic.

  • Awesome chiptunes! Really cool pictures man! Its awesome how the technology of back them had so much potential.

  • Amazing Job dude!! :D

  • cool!

  • this ... is ... art

  • @YungReg88 Yeah, but there's no cool factor with MS Paint.

    ....Kids these days.

  • @YungReg88 Sure it can. You should do it, and show us your work

  • @jcyprys This is some insanely good artwork from those days, those were my favorite days of computer gaming 94-97. Epic. Do you still do pixel art? I used to live on my 386 computer playing DOS games in my room. This artwork is insanely good. I work on Iphone games, do you ever get the urge to make artwork like this nowadays? For games maybe?

  • @jcyprys tjatsan avery realis tank man you shoukl go into a musem of modren art

  • @YungReg88 So what? I can take pictures that would "look" better than this, or draw them on a piece of paper. Or make a better looking youtube video. Or write a song that's better. My point is, MS paint and Atari are completely different mediums, and your argument is invalid.

  • @YungReg88 hmm..lets see..my mspaint.exe need 6,36MB. How do you plan to install it on a 64kb Atari 800XL ? ^^

  • @YungReg88 shut the fuck up you troll

  • WHY HORUS EYE ON LAST PIC???

  • nice artwerk.. very provocative and nostalgic. i can envisage a bit of a renaissance in this style of pixel art from the older computers. i reckon you should be printing some up and getting em about man!

  • I can only remember when younger, people having atari 2600's (maybe other similar consoles of that era or later colecovision) and then everyone made the leap to the home computers with firs the speccy then amstrad and commodore vic20 onto c16 and eventually the best :the c64, i dont now anyone who had the next atari's(after 2600)... and looking at the graphics and sound of your video it gives me that commodore feeling ....was this system similar in spec to the c64 ?

  • @TheFesta01

I knew a friend having an Atari XL 600...expanded to 64KB. I also wanted an Atari but my parents decided that a C64 is better. Another friend in our computer gang also decided for C64. The design of the XL series is cool. I liked it always. The C64 is a little bit like a bread store thing. Not really a likeable look. The sound with the SID is a little bit better on the C64 I think. Ataris POKEY is technically less modern, but sounds special. Graphics is fine for Atari.

  • Nice. Graphics mode 8?

  • 0:10 I'm gonna cry, for the nice times we spent together, my friend.

And hope that we see each other again.

since you know, all the pixels we shared together, my love, remind of how much I did really care

0:35 Since one day, we will be together again

I cant wait to see that day... Baby.. wish I had told you this when toge-ther, my friend, yet I could not understand... then...

Know, I will keep you in heart forever, my friend...for reasons I cant quite myself understand... :(

  • Comment removed

  • @DomelBf2PL what are you talking about? why can't he say "i've drawn"? douche.

  • @mart0419 Because he fixed the title already, you are too stupid to infer this, amirite?

  • @DomelBf2PL ... douche.

  • great work man F@ckin' amazing!! love it.

  • dont quit ur day job

  • Gratulations! There were only 4colours... you made more of it of what they had expected!

  • Amatariz = Amazing

  • Pretty nice work mannn :)

  • HR GIGER influence i see?? :p

  • @joker9494949494 yes, I'm big fan of his art :)

  • The one at 1:22 makes me wonder....

Where did I see something similar to this? I saw it in a video game.

  • the one after the face peeling, the last image, is my fav...

  • That's pretty good man... It's good to see the Atari 8 get put to good use.

  • Amazing stuff... I love this, are you still doing art these days? btw my site is bitmasters-netlabel(dot)com

  • How did you interface with your Atari to get the images on the computer? And do you have a link to the image files if possible?

  • @Blorguehad: I was using joystick and keyboard (for precise movement). I think I have these pictures somewhere.

  • @jcyprys So you started drawing just like that? I guess you had at least a picture for model right? But then you start drawing from a blank screen using only keyboard + joystick right?

    Thanks for sharing

  • @jcyprys 1.37 and 1.39 are my fav I really like the art work

  • whats the one at 1:23 supposed to be about?

  • what´s the name of the song

  • the alchemy gothic alchemist was very well done. Kudos. i have that poster somewhere

  • Professional grade and very detailed. I'd have believed if you said those were screens from early video game cutscenes.

  • PORNO

  • :57 - Boobs

    1:17 - More Boobs

    1:35 - De-bonerizer

  • Great 8bit talent. Great talent regardless. I'll remember you.

  • 1:39 WOW

  • Comment removed

  • wow.. amazing.. how long took the picture with the tank?

  • @stuber86: some about few hours, and others about few weeks - some day I put some pixels, and other day I deletet them. I could probably never finish some of these pictures and always find some pixels to correct and polish :)

  • This is really good. I don't remember anything like this for the 800XL 27 years ago!

    Well done.

  • @HHRich: Well, you probably didn't know the atari demoscene at Poland :)

  • what is this song? it's so awesome

  • @woody12i2: this song is composed by famous polish musician Cedyn. This tune is from The Asskicker outtro and you are right - it is awesome. Cedyn also composed some music for PC games (check out The painkiller soundtrack available on youtube).

  • @jcyprys thanks for replying buddy, appreciate the time

  • looks like a tool video

  • awexxome, especially the face peeling one

  • @usernameshortage: thank you - this picture was my oryginal idea (some other pictures vere just "look and draw" pictures of some other artists)

  • I grow on that times, i had lot coresponding with many groups (czech, slovakia, polish, germany etc.). Demoscene on 8bit Atari scene was incredible , especially from Poland scene... And many incredibles musicians.. I admire Adam Gilmore, Tomas Liebich, X-Ray etc.

Its great nostalgia, now it seems like totaly different world:) I remember that times for its special magic that is now gone..

  • Очень красивая и офигительная тема...

  • Очень хорошая и красивая тема...

  • My compliments for those nice pictures, you should make screens for gameintros.

  • I had the 800XL but I only played games on it and did some 'Basic'

Nice art, how old were you when you've painted this?

  • Excellent work! Parts look to be H.R Giger inspired.

  • AMAZING !!!! Where can I get the .atr file? :D

  • @cemakyurek there's no atr file - what you see is not atari program! This pictures are from different programs, some were presented on copy-parties, some were shwon to my friend only, etc. This pictures were moved from Atari to PC and then compiled with atari music and published here :)

  • Amazing!

  • Ciekawe, gdzie autor teraz pracuje...

  • @Maz3r312: nie zajmuję się grafiką, ale siedzę w branży komputerowej :)

  • holy sh** your good.........

  • Man, Atari 800XL, my old man (may he rests in peace) had that computer when I was just a kid, we had so much hours of fun with it, such a classic console ^^

Great drawings, very amazing considering the limitations of the Atari 800XL ^^

  • Hey at 0:44 that's the skeleton from the Heavy Best album art by Metallica.

  • @nige111: At that time I had an old t-shirt with this picture, but I did't know it is a metallica album cover art :) good to know :)

  • @jcyprys What I find odd, is that Heavy Best seems to be like one of those nonexistant albums that exist, if you catch my drift.

I mean it was just a compilation album (as the title suggests) but I can't seem to find any... official documentation on it.

  • 800 XL music too I presume. Nice pictures, sweet music too.

  • just wow :o

  • amazing palette for 8bit machine

  • Wow, that was art!, so authentic... you should sell a framed version of them online, I bet many people would really want to buy them.

  • 1:19

    Jack? (Mass Effect 2)

  • ROX! thats great xD

  • WOW! That's incredible seeing as you did it on such an old machine with a mouse, I presume?

  • No, not with a mouse - with joystick and keyboard!

  • very, very impressive!

  • really impressive detail.

  • awesome grat job!!!!

i only make some black and whit drawing on commodore 64 loooooong time ago but this, takeme back 28 years!!!!

    tanks!!!!!!!!

  • amazing art.!

  • Most everything in this video is awesome and artistic. I really like it. How many colors are there in these pictures? Some appear to have only 4.

  • These pictures have 4 and 8 colors (including black) :)

  • Pixellated 8-bit titties give me a pixellated 8-bit boner.

  • Hey, this is really nice. Some of the best pics I've seen on Atari (I'm a C64 guy). Some of the pictures are not only technically good but also real art. Why did you stop making atari gfx?

btw, you may be interested in the Forever8 party. Atari 8bit is strong there!

  • absolutely awesome.

BTW, why you were doing graphics on the 800XL in the 90's?!? No Atari ST?

  • 0:48 - a young Hillary Clinton; looks like you were inspired by dark seed, geiger, etc.

  • Great job!

  • fresh

  • How you draw them on 800 xl?

  • Simple answer - zoom mode, and lot of patience :)

  • Is the zoom FX done by the Atari itself ?

  • No. I took the pictures and music from my Atari 800 XL, converted them to jpg and then edited the movie on PC.

  • Looks like pictures by schizophrenics

  • Cool - but what's more staggering is that so many people are looking and commenting on Atari 800XL stuff.

Man, commodore always overshadowed the XL but IMO it was bang on par, if not better supported [quality wise] than the C64

  • really nice pics ;)

  • what program did you use?

  • As far as I remember it was XL-Paint and Koala Microillustartor (my earlier drawings)

  • @jcyprys So you did use the Koala Pad right? I don't think you could buy Koala Micro Illustrator WITHOUT the Koala Pad. Also when do you do these drawings, in the early mid 80s? They are incredible. I can't pull off stuff like this on Photoshop now never mind the blocky pixels of 8 bit on the Atari.

  • You were a really good artist. How long did it take to complete a typical image like the ones in this video?

  • The most simpliest (and lame to be honest) took me a day or two. My best pictures took me over month to finish :)

  • The one at 1:44 looks like someting youd expect to show up in old JMJ music videos. ;-)

  • You could have been a game software house artist back in the day.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOONG ago :b

  • 00:35 was good

  • these remind me of a rly wired game i had called wierd dreams

  • brilliant

  • Man, that's awesome! These days people were able to draw such amazing pictures in so simple software.

  • oh man!! the one in 1:28 my favoret that is a solid art work!! and in the atari? are you for real? those work of yours make my drawing skill in my pc looks a very very VERY childesh!!! now after i have seen this and from now on i will only draw my works only on paper.. good works!! MASTER PEACE!!! DESERVE 5 \5 STARS :D

  • It took me about 2-3 years to reach this level, so don't be so pesimistic. There's only one way to perfection - practice, practice and practice :) So, don't give up and keep drawing. BTW - I would be very happy to see some of your graphics, so send me some :)

  • ok then, i will do my best to reach the perfection and do my best to send you some of my good art works. but just to let you know! its gona take some time'' you see my old pc one day got a problem that lets me delete most the stuff and file ..etc on the hard drive and thear gose my original peace .bye bye, but since you whants to see some thing i have made i will made a new one for you to see it as soon as posible.

  • This is amazing!

  • But Powrooz is better now. :D

  • I'm sure a lot of people are :)

  • I dont think they are alot...

  • good work!

  • DmaVery good pixel art! Grats man.

  • Pięknie!

łza się w oku kręci ;>

koala micro ilustrator i magic point stają przed oczami ;)

    Pozdrawiam!!!

  • Is it really 5 voices (with programming tricks) or clever swapping betwenn channels somebody with a shitty laptop speaker like me can´t hear?

    Anyway: nice tune, great job!

  • The music is oruginally composed and played on 8-bit Atari - no swapping, no dirty tricks, just pure atari sound. It's from the credits part of our demo The Asskicker.

  • OMG! What is this song? Sounds REALLY good!

  • It's from the credits part of our demo The Asskicker. Composed by Cedyn.

  • Amazing man!

  • This is fantastic..really good stuff!!

  • I really like your artwork, do you still make pixel art?

  • Thank you. After migration from atari to pc I have tried to make some pixel art on pc, but the results were awfull so I gave it up :)

  • 1:01

    8-bit headlights! :-O

  • Was the character who showed up from 00:30 - 00:35 the SAME person who showed up in the end credits of Alone In The Dark 3?

    I suspect you made that for Infogrames....^_^;;

  • I saw this picture in some old Polish games-magazine (Top Secret or Secret Service) and redraw it on Atari :) So the answer for your first question is yes. And for the second question is no :)

  • Check in pouet for "Titus' Slideshow". Just added it.

  • Looks awesome. What software did you use on the 800xl? Was it custom software?

  • I was using XL-Paint - a program written by guy called Stanley (polish coder). I don't know if this proggy was released public, but nowadays there is a lot of good graphics programs for 8 bit Atari :)

  • It would have been great to do this 25 years ago when I owned this system back in the 80s you couldn't find anything for it . Most were not interested in writing programs for it LOL..........very frustrating...but now we have internet forums and ebay.....not then

  • Rly nice work!!

  • can you upload the demo disk to see it in a real atari?

  • Unfortunatelly I can not. These pictures came from different productions and had never been joined together on Atari. Most of the pictures are graphics shown on gfx-competitions on some polish copy-parties, some logos from the begining are from Paczka Tynq Magazine, and some has benn never released public. I have released my own Slideshow different than this one on youtube - it was called "Titus' Slideshow". If I find it i'll let you know :)

  • Hello and congratulations for your work. I'm really in love with pixels. I'd like to ask you how did you do the music. Its sublime! Do you know a program I can use to compose music like this, I mean like a real atari sound? Merci!
