  • Ha .. you got a bad onion ! @6:35 He says water .. lol

  • Ha .. you got a bad onion !

  • Just to it the way I show in my video I promise it works

  • its not water morons its fucking poweraid.. now shut up.. of course house hold hacker is a fake

  • And another thing, that did look like water. I am not calling or trying to put anything on you as seeing these comments they are quite awful. But, the only mistake you made was not using the exact charger that the guy used in his video. You used instead a substitution which probably could've been fatal in this experiment. This could work, if only there is nothing you must add to it in order to get the electricity going.

  • yeah nice job using water smartass

  • This is why you use POWERTHIRST!

  • nerd.

  • not powerade

  • nice job using water dumbass

  • whats gattering

  • 4:40 good job dumbass

  • I have the reflexes of a finely tuned puma.

  • @neosurrealist ..what does that have to do with anything... >.> Really people need to follow EXACTLY what the guy did. No substitutions of the sort. Did you use a white onion? Did you use the exact same cord? Did you use the kind of gatorade he used? This is what you need to look at. e.e;;

  • you are so booooring, dude!

  • i love proving householdhacler wrong

  • o my god his videos are supposed to be fake! Dumbass!

  • no they're supposed to be real even though they are fake

  • 5:43 LOL!!! painful man hahahahahahaha

  • There is no "major reduction in fluid" because the the water did not evaporate (i.e. the mass and weight of the system remains constant) mr smarty pants -.-;

  • He's referring to the original video, idiot.

  • Uh, no shit.

  • i used this problem as my ip project but my teacher and classmates just laugh at me bec. they say it's impossible to charge an ipod using onion.... is it true..??

  • It is impossible.

If you want to make a functioning system, look at lemon batteries. I'm sure you could jet a small charge off of those.

  • @realms456 LMAO YOU TOLD THEM the video was real ? HAHAHHAHA your such a retard

  • u used water u said so at the last 10 secs of the video! probably just porued water in the powerade bottle

  • That's why I had ripped the seal off the top of the bottle.

  • this works i tried it but i left it the powerade for an hour and made lots of holes so it can absorb more

  • hey buddy, check yahoo....

  • could just have a 10 second video where u yell THIS SHIT DONT WORK NIGGAS! lol

  • What kind of gatorade or powerade is that? Those that matter?

  • He said he used water on 6:34-6:35.Weren't you supposed 2 use gatorade or powerade?

  • naw its like clear PowerRade

  • ok, just spreding the word, the one on the ipod does actially work, it doesnt SAY the ipod is charging when you do it but if you notice, the ipod doesnt lose ANY charge, i had my ipod running strait for 6 hour plugged into the damn onion and it was perfection, and yes it also works in powerade

    -chey

  • It's fake you retards! This is the punchline! Watching all of you morons try it out!

  • Where is the evidence that a USB flashlight doesn't need boatloads of power to light up? The power going to the iPod may be extremely useless but still enough to add a tiny bit of battery light. I call this experiment flawed.

  • Thats Powerade.

  • isnt that water? not gatorade

  • yeah if you ask me your voices sound the same and you said water at the end talking about how much water it aborbes and im doing this for a science fair project well see if it works

  • well, as we speak, my buddies and i are doing this project for a science fair tomorrow and we have done 7 trials and we're working on the 8th, and theyve all failed... maybe we're doin something wrong... or maybe is just bullshit!!!!

  • yeah ive tryed it a few times too and it hasnt worked...

  • I think it's great that you show us that this doesn't actually work, and that you have facts to back it up.

  • Laaaaaaaaaame

  • does this work with aquarius?? or some energy drink from a can?

  • you have wayyy to much time on your hands either a learn how to jack off or b grab a girlfriend..

  • dude you forgot to clap your hands!!

  • you cant use power aid it must be gatorade

  • both use 5v DC current. Tell me; what is the difference?

  • no it can be powerade as well !

  • STUPID IDIOT...

at 6:34 u give away ur secret...

u say it absorbed 100 mL of WATER

    HAHAHAHHAHA dumbass...

just let it slide man, u dont have to prove that it doesnt work even if it does

  • HA YOUR RIGHT lol thats hilarious hes a phony trying to prove hes right

  • HAHA you're right. He used water instead.

  • Why would I leave something like that in a video if I were faking it?

  • because u mite not of realised...

  • i bet u just turned off yur camera and then turned it on pretending that it was 30min

  • Why wouldn't I have just uploaded 30 minutes of video?

I thought 6 minutes was more than enough.

  • I don't belive can charge an Ipod with onion. That's stupid. Save an onion for cook and charge an Ipod like the way you did.

Thanks you. Now i know we can't do like that.

  • the charging with an onion, is a scientific experiment, the whole purpose of it is for science and entertainment and DIY activities

  • where does the ipod charge, i didn't see an iPod in all of this

  • Its called power ade option its a clear form of power ade it still has the same ingredients so this is very consistent with the original vide

  • I think that it is possible, but it is very hard. If you don't let it sit long enough, it won't absorb enough, if too long, the acid in the onion might seep out into the gotorade/powerade.

  • dude no matter what you do, just plugging the usb plug into it is not going to do anything. You need a reaction that will send the electricity in a circuit, but if you have two different metal prongs going into it and them attached to the correct parts of the usb cable it could work

  • i think i know where your going wrong with this experient! the householdhackers onion had a AAA battery inside!

  • An onion probably makes an AC current wouldn't you think?

  • at the end of the vid, he said water intead of gatorade/powerade... is he rite? i noe they make a clear one, but he wasnt sayin water b4... :S

  • yea he said water and it doesnt look like gatorade r whtever. it look like water when he poured it out

  • i think that household hacker hacked our minds....none of his stuff works and this particular experiment was just proved to be false

  • its probably just a mate of the household hacker guy. Im doin my 3rd year of electrical engineering and i can assure veryone its absolute crap.

  • So do they not teach you any chemistry at all? I'd think after three years you would know it is possible

  • Really? you make us a video showing that it is possible.

  • dude have you said anything to household hacker?

  • he deletes my comments.

  • wheres the ipod?

  • its a flashlight dumshit

  • finally someone that really knows that in chemistry, physics and biology this can be possible!!!

  • I don't believe you are really serious about believing that would ever work... Get some primary school science book and you'll find out how to make a battery with thinks such as lemon and 2 metal plates.

  • it can be the lemon gatorade, it's like water.

  • wow you such a loser i dont think powerade makes a clear drink so yea u used water for this experiance tring to act smart well ur not u just made ur self more stupid buh bye

  • lol he used powerade option, its a clear drink that resembles water you jackass

  • hes stupid? u dumbshit its flavoe is actually called "ice" go look for it at a store

  • u are a smart alac dumbass i think that powerade u put in was water

    ur trying 2 sound smart

  • But it can be done!

  • I think you don't need the opinion of an electical engenieer to understand that this is FAKE!

  • I just tried this with GATORADE ns it worked. Charged my mp3 device perfectly.

  • WOW!!! You live in WonderLand!! With Alice that damn caterpillar and the LSD induced cat that talks!!! I wish it would work in the real world!!!!

  • Allthough hes right and its a hoax, it would be possible to charge an Ipod from an onion or any other fruit/vegetable which is basic or acidic like a lemon. To do this you would need 2 different metals sticking into it. Its actually a RedOx reaction that works by eating away at one metal and building ions or electrolytes on the other metal. Then these two metal pieces would need to be attatched to the correct parts of a USB cable. I'm thinking about trying it to prove you that it can be done.

  • I'm, not sure you would get 6.2 volts though.

A copper penny and a finishing nail with some aligator cilps should leave a USB smelling nicer.

  • Great job on your experiment. One way hacker is fooling you is buy the word "electrolyte" Thats like saying the oil in your car is the same as oil you cook with. The "electrolytes" in the onion are enough to create electricity. But not by this method. I explain it in my video response.

  • does powerade have electrolytes? the expiriment definately calls for electrolytes. You've changed the expiriment in that regard. I think the point of the expiriment is to keep all the "controls" the same, you changed one by using powerade. please use gatorade next time.

  • powerade and hatorade are both recomended by household hacker.

  • The bowl doesn't hold 2 cups. you calling HouseholdHacker a liar.

  • it holds 710 ml which is more than 2 cups.

i put 710 ml into the bowl.

I really am calling household hacker a liar.

  • why didnt you use real gatorade instead of those cheap reduced ones

  • at 6:39 he even says "water"

    not powerade

  • lol...you are right and that type of powerade is more misty then clear

  • good call, however if you watch closely I actually ripped a seal off the neck of the Powerade 0:50. I called it by 3 names in the video. Powerade, Gatorade, and Water. Those are all just slips of the tongue because I never drink the stuff.

  • just plug it in you'r computer

  • LOL

  • I can't believe you thought the Household Hacker was serious. It's so obvious it's all a prank. Why would you actually make this video unless you were actually fooled by those obviously fake videos.

  • instead of bitching, try it yourself, i did it and got the same results as this guy. it doesnt work.

  • get a life who cares how to charge a ipod with a onion and gatorade go buy yourself a charger at walmart.

  • yeah he did say water didnt he, it did look a bit too clear, strange, but houshold hacker did say powerade works too.

  • i don't think you plugged it in all the way

  • notice he said 100 ml of WATER on 6:34.... clear powerade or not, how could he "accidentally" said water?

  • As if you've never called something by the wrong name!

I ripped the seal off the top of the bottle!

  • you gotta use red onions and also switch to the new gatorade drinks for added electrolytes

  • that, my friend, is powerade. NOT gatorade. lol.

  • My bad. I never drink the swill.

  • could someone tell me if it works ... thanx

  • Comment removed

  • wow did it work

  • LMAO!!
