A shotgun shell fired with lead shot has an effective killing range of 30 to 35 meters and if shot under an angle of 35 deg. an dangerradius between 300 and 450 meters. A rifle bullit fired at the same angle has a radius from up to 6 kilometers. And if you are not a total idiot you might have mentioned the airport in the background. Now think again!!

@simjee88 Sorry, but it is not my video. The lead shot will not penetrate the feathers of the birds, unless the correct shotsize and distance ist used. But as you can see, the hunter didn't shot at close range. Bird of prey will not take on dead birds, only living and moving prey (exzept vultures). Lead is a problem to hunts at or on waters where ducks are living. But in most countries on europe lead shot in water hunts is vorbidden and steel shot is used.
