The music, costume, and turns gave the dance flow. As a practitioner of Kathak, Anumita's dance does not contain the basic elements of Kathak. However, that only made her dance better. Using South Indian dance gestures throughout the dance enabled the rapid footwork and turns to fit well within the overall dance. It is a great piece! I don't agree that the dance should be more playful or seductive. Devdas was a movie about self-destructiveness, which is not something to be desired or emulated.

Beautiful footwork, very nicely done! I like your take on the song and the particular style you chose. As for abhinaya, your expressions were very playful and 'happy'. While they were beautiful, I think this song calls for a more seductive or mature playfulness, if that makes any sense. None the less, fantastic dance I really enjoyed it! Look forward to seeing more!

I'm always more prone to criticism than to praise because home-made Indian dances videos are usually just waste of time. But this is unique. A great bharatnatyam version of a kathak number. This is the first mix of bharatnatyam and kathak I've seen, and an excellent one. I could tell you're a bharatnatyam dancer but you've mastered those kathak movements very well, too. I admire your neck movements and love the wild ending. Thanks and best wishes from a kathak dancer from Europe!

@realist441 Well, I intended it to be mostly bharatnatyam (I've never actually learned kathak, although I would really like to), but I can somewhat see the similarities to kathak. So, I suppose you could say it is both :)
