In my opinion, Skrillex is still dubstep, and so is this. Have you people not heard of sub-genres? For example, Disturbed and Death Cab sound nothing alike, but they're both still rock. Just different kinds of rock. So why can't there be different kinds of dubstep?

But I do agree that Skrillex is overrated whereas this is awesome. :D

@Soldatnatio It hasn't gone anywhere. If you or anyone else thinks that these kind of vibes aren't around anymore then you need to sort your self out. Start heading out to raves in london & bristol and you'll learn that Dubstep hasn't gone anywhere, it's just been taken down a different route with the mainstream stuff. This kind of music is still being released all the time!

@CrystalCatchaUK : i'm sure there's plenty of this stuff. i know Dub Phizix and skeptical have some stuff that sounds like it. I'm in the states so it's hard finding a good rave.

i don't mean that it's not out there, it's just not big compared to what dubstep is now for the mainstream. i go on beatport and if i'm lucky i find 4-7 songs like these a month. the rest is just skrillex and many other skrillex sound alikes. it's sad

This actually is dubstep. Maybe your notion of dubstep has been tainted by the utter rubbish that's come out in the past few years, but this is how the genre sounded when it first came out - minimal, shuffly, and full of sub bass.

dnb is 180 bpm,its not possibly slow dnb down to sound like dubstep
