Scratch? Not true. If UW is smart and hires a good coach with a good rep, we may even do better recruiting than TW has done, which by the looks of the overall talent on the team is not too good. This opinion of yours is a myth that many college teams with traditionally strong programs prove to be false every year.

I was thinking about it and yeah I agree with you if Willingham doesn't produce by the end of the season (aka above 500), then he should be fired, I just think people are being too harsh on him cause his team did pretty damn well against BYU, and who knows how we'll fare against Stanford, Cal, OSU, UCLA etc. Your right though this season will make or break him, and hopefully if he goes we'll get somebody good.

Great game, but policy or not that call was bullshit. I honestly don't see Willingham being fired after that display. We've shown we can play on par with the 15th ranked team in the country, and could have won had things gone our way in the last 10 seconds of the game. Next weekend will be tough but I can see us doing damn well in the rest of the season.

Yeah, but our D was running out again late in the game... not a good sign. We probably would have lost in OT. Still, Jake Locker is a classy player and shouldn't feel bad for celebrating since he basically single-handedly got us back in the game. :(

If UW was outplayed so much then why did we lose by only one point??? You can say it was all locker or whatever but HE IS A MEMBER OF THE TEAM so it was the huskies, regardless of who actually scored the last touchdown, who played that well. The only real playmakers for BYU were Unga and Hall but nooooo nobody critices them for having two main guys everybody goes to. We're aren't even ranked in the top 50 and we gave BYU a VERY run for their money, BYU deserves to be in the top 15 my ass.

The score was deceiving. We were lucky to even be in the game. Pitta or whatever played very well also. This is the sad reality of the UW Football program though, mocking a MWC team we should be beating no matter what. Who cares 1 point or 20. This is the Pac-10, hello. Don't be a Coug. zv713 you are right, but the more I think about what you said, it isn't even the lines fault W lost. I blame Jan Jorgenson. That guy is a BEAST of a man. No, but really, there was no reason for the ball to be at that height for a kick that isn't even really a distance kick. It isn't close, but it is a common distance.

Rules rtb enforced. This wouldn't be an issue had any of the holding or even the hooking by W had been called on that last drive. The kick was blocked. Had the ball missed wide by inches where 15 yrds closer would have made in in by FEET, this would be a totally different case. The KICKER lost It 4 U!

Here is the math: assuming the ball thrown from about shoulder height and the ball was in the air for 2.36 seconds. From Locker's arm height, it reached a height of 22.5 feet. Including Locker's approximate height, the ball went over 26 feet into the air. Is this high? You decide.
