OK! Please tell me what was wrong with a structure that was less that forty years old? Don't bother. I think I know the answer. To think there are structures/buildings in Europe that are centuries old. This is really screwed up. Professional sports really suck!
@jacfred I totally agree!!! As sad as it is corporations really are taking over the world. So they have to be pampered and in the sports venues case you gotta take stadiums and make them "resorts". If it doesn't have enough luxury boxes(where people can company tickets, take their children, drink excessivley and then throw up on themselves and make themselves look like idiots) then it's useless so it must be destroyed. The 80's expansion NBA teams, their original arenas have been imploded. Sad.
Although I am a Jet fan, Texas Stadium was my favorite football venue. It was a big waste that they tore it down. What they should have done was to tear down the Cotton Bowl(which was a dump) and make Texas Stadium the New Cotton Bowl.
you got DESTROYED by the BALTIMORE RAVENS! as usual.. you softies tell ur gay ass LB to stop trying to rally up the troops like Ray Lewis its so embarassing and rediculous god was a poser.. i forgot the douche bags name cuz hes a cowboy and they are all irrelevent
@Elbometallica Your response is an EPIC FAIL, post, LOL. The Baltimore Ravens were founded as the Cleveland Browns in the NFL. It was in 1996 that they RELOCATED from Cleveland to Baltimore!
Awesome video Doug and thank you so much for showing us the stadium for one last time! I went to Temple High School in the 70's and was in the Wildcat Band. Our band was invited every Thanksgiving to perform at halftime. I'll never forget marching on the field of the Texas Stadium...some great memories! So sad it is gone now. I wonder what they did with the Tom Landry statue and the blue star. I hope they put it in a museum somewhere.
Awesome Video Man! Only wish you could have gone into the locker room one last time, but I guess it had been stripped already. Just watched the implosion on tv. Was sad, but look forward to next year! GO COWBOYS!!!!!
From as close as you could get, I just watched it go down. I'm very glad it's gone. The place was an eyesore. If only the same could be done to the new stadium!
Go to frame 3:51 & look at the menu with the hamburger which costs $7.50. My parents tell me the cost of a ticket at a Cowboys game at the Cotton Bowl in the 1960's only cost $4.50. I understand now why I like staying home & watching the game on TV. Spend all your money on that stuff so Jerry Jones can write Terrell Owens a $25 million check & pay the idiot mascot "Rowdy". Thanks for the memories ... good and bad.
Why are people sad this thing is about to be gone? Have you not gotta look at your new stadium you dumbfucks?? Its amazing how dumb people are. Its just a building.
is there still a door left open that yu can sneak in? i wana sit down where the fans used to sit and smoke a spliff and reminice about the memories of texas stadium and those games i went to watch at texas stadium
I hate that they have to demolish these stadiums...... it's always so sad. Orange Bowl, Three Rivers, River Front Stadium....... I hope they don't destroy the Astrodome
That was very painfull to wach I grew up about 3 mi. from the stadium and rember it being built even tho I was only about 5 at the time seen about 25 games most with my dad and they where great time Thanks for the memories
Ha Nebraska! Ucant be serious! Tell that to the Longhorns and see what happens. And Bengals, get outta here! Gay team, WRONG AGAIN! We are Americas Team for a reason, our history and our money. And lastly our state boy we the second largest muthafuckin state in this country we do shit big for that reason alone. I could see if it was a NY, Cali or somethin like that talkin they at least got somethin. That what u are talkin on aint nothin special at all dude. BTW what up ohcocinco.
sad seeing old staduims in the process of being demolished, but having looked at the cowboys new stadium, it will ease the pain, good luck guys in your new home
If you would like to pay for some royalty free music that I can use so that the video doesn't get yanked down for copyright violations I'll gladly change it!
did you know: the huge screen in the new stadium cost more than the old Texas stadium itself
Alxe73191 1 year ago
@Alxe73191 yeah, just about everyone knows that. One reason of the many reasons of what makes the new stadium so badass!!!

Talk to me when, and if they get close to our neighborhood!!!!!

@DizzyDougTV well, the ravens was founded in 1996. So, it's only fair if you look at 1996-2010. And, oops, ravens: 1, cowgirls: 0.
