it seems paul wants more privatization of schools so people can choose to send their kids wherever they like. but private schools cost money. that would just leave the poor with the poorest, cheapest education. that does not sound like equal opportunity to me.

if every kid gets the same voucher amount, that still leaves the poorest kids usually going to the cheapest schools, doesnt it? and wouldnt it add a level of bureaucracy and expense to the system? [i have no vested interest in this. i dont have school age kids and i dont live in the states. i'm just curious.]
The government has a bad habit of spending too much on educating children as a result of teachers unions lobbying government for more money. But, as the system stands, public schools are the cheapest option and only mid middle class can afford private schools. If a voucher system is put in place then the wasteful public schools would be defunded, simply by opening up competition. @the1calledv i dont think it is the money that is causing the deterioration of the school system. it's the way the money is being used. part of the problem is probably all the money that is being put into testing which only results in teachers teaching to the test which leads to getting kids to regurgitate rather than think/understand. i dont think vouchers are any solution. it just adds a layer to a system that is flawed without correcting the flaws.

In a CFR meeting in NYC Hilliary in her address explicitly said (paraphrasing)- we are glad that we can get information on what decisions we should take regarding foreign policy. Please search on youtube for the video. Only elected representatives should be making decisions about US foreign policy not a private groups. Rockefeller in his memoirs accepts he is for a one world govt. Some investigation of your own might help
