i also am a karh nut. i have the p380, cm9, cw40, and the cw45. all are perfectly reliable and darn fine firearms. i contracted karh earlier and they said they plan on expanding the cm series because of the success of the cm9. can't wait til i can get the cm45. btw, i love the black slide!
I have put about 500 rounds through this gun. I put about 350 through it before they replaced the frame on Kahr's third attempt to fix it. I put about 150 rounds through it using the second frame. This weekend I'll finish the second break in period but so far, this gun has had one problem after another. I have never seen so many issues with a firearm. Four other people have shot it and all of them have had problems with it as well. Good luck with yours. Mine will be for sell.
@badolan sorry to hear that. Most issues I hear are with the little P380 but I'm sure it happens occassionally with other models. hope it works out for you bro.
I have a new PM9 nightmare. It's been to back to the Kahr three times for failure to feed, failure to extract and throwing brass back into my face. They sent me a "new" gun. Turns out it's just a new frame and they called it a new gun. Guess what? Same old crap. This one is about to go back after it's second break in period is finished. Same problems. Total POS. I have absolutely no confidence in this gun. I have the black version which scratches very easily. Find something else.
@badolan Hrrm strange. Havent had one issue with mine. Most guns need a break-in period. Kahr says to run 200 rds through it. You can't expect any gun with such tight tolerances to run 100% right out of the box. I do think kahr customer service is not up to par. I've had issues with them in the past. Good luck
Those Kahr pistols look really good, but, the only reason why im not jumping on the wagon is because I'm a lefty and it looks like the magazine release cant be switched to the other side (I MAY BE WRONG) and the magazine look like they don't fit the gun. I've owned guns with a similar setup but, once I got use to ambi controls, it is hard to buy a gun without them. I still would like to have one in the future, so I will check one out at the local gun shop. Oh and cool video, very informative.
@DjDellsky thanks for watching. yeah no ambi mag release. You'll be hard pressed to find any micro compact pistol with ambi controls. im lefty too so i feel your pain hehe. good luck
i gotta tell you i wish i had the black slid i like the look much better than my 2 tone i did not know when i bought the pm9 that they had the black slide.good video thanks for posting
Hey man ... I like your vids (going through them as we speak) ! I just "subbed" love the all black ! Wish I would have got my pm45 like that :( U think that rubber grip would fit the PM45 ? anyway man ... Great vids ! God bless
Good review man, and thanks for comparing the PM9 to the P380, which I have. The PM9 is next on the list. Very cool little guns. I wish Glock would make sub-compact single stack pistols, but I don't see it happening. BTW, Bianchi is pronounced Bian-ki. :-)
The only thing I really don't like is, you "must" use the slide-release to chamber a round. But I do LOVE the pistol. Considering putting a CT laser-guard on.
@jeffreylane7 Some people make a big deal about that but I don't mind it at all. I think releasing the slide manually requires more effort but to each his own.
@purogarza I'm surprised you dont get feeding issues. Kahr states in the manual to use the slide release. If you watch Hickok45's vids on the Kahr he jams it almost every time he tries to sling shot the slide back just like a Glock but when he only uses the slide release it never jams.
@jeffreylane7 That's strange. I know Mass is pretty strict on what they allow but the slide coating shouldn't make any difference. Thanks for watching.
how does this rank among concealed carry weapons?
would you recommend the Kahr or a Walther p22?
:)
I am considering getting my CCW permit :)

@skoobalon no I haven't taken down the slide 100% but if you search "kahr slide disassembly" on YT, the first 2 vids will show you. good luck bro!

@MrRomeoNguyen No problem. The grip really helps alot with hand fatigue especially when your going through a few hundred rounds at the range.
MrCleanerNash 11 months ago
what kind of slip on grip is that?

@MrRomeoNguyen Pachmayr #4 fits perfect. I mentioned it a couple times in the vid lol.

@jeffreylane7 Really? i normally just push the release in and it chambers a round? I don't always use the slide release.
