You miss the point, that the making of the entire album was a cleansing process and they were going through a period of just letting everything out, so we ended up hearing the results of that.....a raw, deep and extremely personal look into their lives and the relationships they have with the people closest to them.

Making music is not about pleasing you, or anyone else other than the people making it...if you wanna listen to it, enjoy it....if you don't like it, don't pass judgement!

Ya know when I watched "Some Kind of Monster" and heard the songs I realized that the songs weren't horribly bad. The problem isn't the songs or the band, it's Rubin. He's a horrible producer for them. Not that he's not a nice guy or whatever, that's not it. His particular ear and style don't mesh like it should with the band. I'd like to see them get Mike Clink for a really rough album to restore them to greatness. And yea Robert Trujillo kicks ass! And he's so happy!

to me death magnetic made a conclusion for me.. i was left hanging till that came out. to me it was like a closure to the unforgiven songs. then i felt like the day that never comes was like ONE's twin, twin like two rowing row boats n you just row in a circle without both. This is how it is, Kill Em' All - And Justice For All = awesome, Black Album = great but not their "thrash style" but was still a great album, Load / Reload, 3-4 good songs on them, the rest are filler. St.Anger...horrid...Death Magnetic gets alot of unfair judgement because of Load, Reload and St.Anger before it, yet the structure of the music is all the same as And Justice For All, although I agree Death Magnetic isn't as good as And Justice For All, the styles are still the same.
