@mrkb34 I consulted the god Zeus and he told me it was so. I own several Sig Sauer weapons and I love them, but they arrive un aligned. It is no big deal to fix, just follow the video.

so if the round is hitting 3" lower from my aim point should I change the rear from #8 to 9 (for 2") and front from #6 to number 7 (for 1") tfor a total of 3" of just change the front from #6 to #9 for the 3 inches?
Thanks for posting; I just got the P226 platinum elite, have not made it to the range yet. For moving the rear sight up and down, is clockwise moving it up or down? Also, I am used to shooting glocks where I place the target right on top of the front sight; I have heard that with the SIGs you have to put the front sight over the target, have you found this to be the case? Thanks!
@stanleydrake I don't know which direction goes up or down. If someone lets me know, I will add it to the description. You can easily set up your SIG to put the target above the sites just by turning that hex screw you just mentioned.
@stanleydrake I can't answer the first part of your question, but in reference to the second part: Glock sights are factory set for a 6 o'clock aim, meaning the top of your front and rear sights should be in alignment with the bottom of your target. Sigs, on the otherhand, are factory set for a 12 o'clock aim, meaning the front sight should cover the target. Your understanding on that point is correct.
i find it hard to believe that sig does not sight in their pistols. how do you know this?

@skilkrax I don't think it matters too much. I personally would trade them both instead of making a drastic change on one.
