So, the purpose of the vellum is to form a projection surface? I'm guessing it's the cheap option - compared to industrial rear projection film like 3m Vikuiti?
around 1m26s how did you reset the background i tried pressing be like it said but couldn't get it to work so i tried changing contrast and all that but now its not sensitive at all...
How did you attach the vellum to the acrylic? Did you use double sided tape? I have seen your forum on NUI Group. Good Work! I am building my first FTIR multi touch so I am trying to figure out everything before I start. Thanks
I just taped it to the acrylic around the perimeter of the vellum with black electrical tape. The texture created by rolling the silicone allows it to rest directly on the acrylic without sticking and thus making a 'false' blob.
How thick is the acrylic?

where do you get the vellum paper?
Will this work as a projection surface as well?

@wiipenmaker
I bought the Vellum at an office supply store, and it IS the projection surface.

So from the top down you have:
Drafting Vellum
Silicone rolled on back of Vellum
then the acrylic?
