  • (and that's what I just did ;) check out my channel and you'll find out! -- cheers -- and don't worry I'm not selling or asking for anything, I'm just a no budget filmmaker with a 5d)

  • But still just shows that technology have came to a place where the Jimmy next door can pick up a camera. a mic, and a couple of good actors and make a movie that looks professional without having to come up with loads of cash and that alone is mind blowing! Now there are no excuses, just go out and shoot! brv

  • Hi. The dslrs are awesome for the low budget filmmaker and I'm really curious about this movie. But dont't forget that the Polish Brothers are REALLY BIG, i mean they've been making movies with top hollywood stars for 10years. Yeah they shot this flick with "no budget" and .had "no promotion strategy" but their name alone opens a lot of doors and of course they have talent. It's like if you give the Jimmy next door a 5d and Spielberg a 5d it's not like their going to make a similar movie ;)

  • All you who love NO Budget film, you should search "The Harrison House Trailer" on youtube. It was a horror film shot in Colorado for 600 bucks.

But I'm hoping it becomes an internet sensation, whether for good or for bad, it doesn't matter

  • Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up is disabled? Great info and a nice movie.

  • The Canon 5D mark 2 strong point is that its better then the T2i for color grading in post. filmriot did a video with the Canon 5D Mark 2 and the T2i check it out.

Film Riot: Canon 5D mkII vs The Canon T2i

  • @mp4podcastDOTcom

    t2i stronger point: PRICE! :)

    love mine

  • @aronchas They are all good cameras. Just point out that the Canon 3D Mark 2 is a little better at color correcting.

  • So does the 550D/600D have manual exposure control

  • The 5D mk2 is probably at its best when filming films or Small TV acting projects, especially drama where the lens can be used at its best. Though people should remember that sound recording should be done separately, with something like the H4 zoom.

In my experience the problem with making films is the way people organise shoots (generally to many directors). The camera is generally a secondary consideration, it helps to have a good one but you can make something decent with less.

  • @MichaelLaing71 - Well said. For sure you want to use better audio like the Zoom H4 or the Zoom H2.

  • how did they get there film on itunes?

  • @KevinMinato - There's a few ways to do that. Most involve a bit of cash outlay. I believe you have to buy an ISBN # for anything that you want to sell on iTunes (which isn't cheap).

  • Mmm Good to hear I would say. DSLRś and their good lenses used for actual filming. Why not it would mean more and more people can get better video quality. [of course a DSLR with video is still not a HD video cam]

  • That is really great... Thumbs up for the brothers! (Thumb down for the usage of a Canon..;))

  • No one cares if you are first.

  • First!!
