Definitely the most ORIGINAL cover I've heard. Pretty damn awesome in that regard, especially toward the end. But.. The Lips version is still one of the best songs ever imo. No matter how many times I listen to it I never get bored or tired of it. I prefer it, still, this version is a pretty kick ass way of her saying that she loves the original song. I'm sure The Lips think so too. Not just a carbon copy.

I didn't know the original song, so when I heard Emilie's version I didn't compare it and I thought it was amazing. After hearing the original I still think Emilie"s is better. Maybe The Flaming Lips is not my style. I hope she records it, it will sound even better

The Flaming Lips version is one of my all-time favorite songs. I think her version would sound much better in person. The vocals in this version are sometimes overshadowed by the piano, and the vocals are a huge part of this song. I would love to hear a studio version of this.
