Hi, can you please tell me how to Ease In/Out my keyframe animation in Cinema 4D?? (e.g. I want it to SLOW to a stop). I have v9 and it doesn't do it automatically... can't seem to figure it out.
That depends. In 3D they are UV'ing, lighting, and animation. And in 2D you are fine tuning your look. Both go hand & hand. Just depends on the project, but in most cases you will bounce between the two packages.
in cinema 4d, halcome If I set a keyframe for an object's position on one axis lets say the X axis, it will also set keyframes for the object's Y and Z value, How do I add a keyframe for an object's X value without adding a keyframe for it's Y and Z value?
Nice, What I really want to know is how to render something 3D and then composite it into after effects while still holding its 3D elements. I cant seem to find a tutorial on it
Try pressing the expand or collapse transform control pane button. It's a small, very small icon located at the bottom left of (composition) your screen. Looks like a circle and a square slightly overlapping each other. When selected you should see the TrkMat next to Mode.
In C4D go to render settings cmd (mac) B choose you format & size (ex. 1280x720 QuickTime movie) shift R to render to Picture Viewer. In AE cmd M choose your output settings save to folder sit back and have a drink :)
resolution for this clip isnt high enough

• Check on the Compositing Project and selected After Effects+3D+hit save.
• To add color to the Luma matte just add pure white. Or check off the luminance channel on the material settings
• I exported a quicktime mov.

CHEERS, even after many years of using cinema 4D, this is one area that I still have to investigate.

when i open it in after effects it doesn't show the track matte settings. it just shows all the 3d layer and parenting stuff.
