@undeadkillers k man my t 2 90 rx7 has over 185km i beat it every ay and i run 40lbs of boost with no boost controler its run just as hard as when i build it 3 years ago and still has 15-1 compression i had a fully build crx with a k 20 and i blew it up in 6 months my dyno guy has a 1065 whp supra and hes built his engine 4 times in 2 years my dx civic had a b 18 and i killked it over 1 summer so i know from driving many cars that ur wrong who told u rotarys dont last must of been a lemon rx7

Nice swap, with a 20B you would gain a shitload of power and torque over the stock v6 z motor, assuming that the 20B has been ported and with and idle like that it sounds like a large extend port pulse

@lilclown830 the rotary has the highest weight to output ratio than any engine built.... some stock 20b (13g based) come with 450hp non turbo... and with less moving parts than a straight six you can easily do a rebuild within a few hours unlike piston engines... you have to truely understand the mechanical genius behind those small engines

a 20b is a 3rotor engine so its kinda not considered stock. but a rotor engine do build up great horsepower with a single turbo,i don't know bout a NA rotary even thought madmike has a 4rotor NA engine in his FD making 500hp.but i really think swapping a rotary againts a straight six is a bad idea since the straight six doesn't require frequent engine rebuild compared to a rotary. and straight six can produce as much horsepower than a rotary. (only my opinion)

@lilclown830 a 20b is a stock engine... it was released in the 1990-1995 Mazda Cosmo... but only pushed about 300hp. it is a stock engine... nothing built in a persons garage by combining parts of other engines to make one. The 3 rotor engines first appeared in the 757 which raced in the le mans at that time was known as the 13g but mazda later named it the 20b. i agree in some aspects you do gotta work on them... but thats the same with all great enignes. i had a z31 with a VG30ET.. loved it!

@xmitchell27 man i make 806 out of a stock 13b with meth injection inter cooler and a big turbo with 40lbs boost on 87 pump gas tire/rim upgrades suspension and exaust and upgraded mazda factory fuel system with a mirco tec cars engine is basicly stock turbo 2 stock diff and trans i run 9.40 1/4 lesss mods than the 350s and way faster ive done 286 km but canadian highways are too sketchy after that truly no impressed nice to c a 20b swap but dont think its faster than it realy is

I nearly ended up putting a 1JZ into my FC. Thought about a 2J but the cost would have been to high. That said if i knew that I would need new rotor housings, I probably would have spent the extra couple of thou for the conversion for the 1JZ. Was all done by R/Master. Joe does a top job.

350z's are alot heavier than most sports cars like the rx-7, but they do have great suspensions. It depends on what you like, torque or high horsepower. The rx-8 is kinda heavy, too. But that is considered one of the best low horsepower cars,with great handling,probably better than the 350z. And if you're getting girls because of your car, you're probably not great in bed lol.
