You're working too hard in your philosophical deliberations I'm afraid. As I see it, it's a matter, either, of acknowledging gayness as sin and doing tshuvah, and working with that nisayon as all of us do with our moral lapses - or - chucking the whole thing. I don't see room for a middle ground on this. Do you? From the tenor of your presentation, which laudably respects tradition - I don't think you would want to "reinterpret" the Biblical verses and make them more "relevant" for our times
