Nintendo 64 was really the ruling console in this genre or what we should call it.

Among classics Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros (The first one), Perfect Dark, Mario Party, Goldeneye, NHL 99 was really fun too, and of course Pokémon Stadium.

I remember Clay Fighter as a fun social game too.

On the SNES Super Mario Kart was one of the best, if not Super Off Road that I played with my dad alot.

That's the real beasts in classic social multiplayer games.
