Conditions:

1. You have to be at the post game/ 2nd playthrough

2. Must be on overlimit Lvl 4

3. Vesperia 2nd ((明星弐号) must be equipped

Then after an altered/arcane arte hold the attack + arte button

Does anybody here even realize how this works? There are skills called Combination that Yuri can get, which increase damage/overlimit depending on which skill (1, 2, @ 3). You have to preform a combo in a certain order. EX: 3 Basic + 1 Altered + 1 Arcane = Bonus. Normally, you can only use one combo at a time, but in his case, he uses Tension, which puts him into overlimit the higher his combo gets. He spams combo untill enough of a damage bonus is built, then TENSHOU, KOUYOKUKEN!!!

You are not hitting the enemy correct? If even one hit connects the enemy after 1 combination, then the damage factor is instantly transferred. Also, only the first hit of any multi-hit attack will receive the bonus, so if you are attempting this on Savage Wolf Fury, then it won't be impressive. First hit will also apply to the enemy you hit first as well. The order you have is correct, but make sure none of the hits of either chain connect the enemy (MA will have to connect so Combo 1 then 3).

No, he was trying to activate the Combination skill that increases damage if you use the following combo:

Base Arte > Altered Arte > Arcane Arte > Mystic Arte.

thats their overlimit bars the number says how many they have, the reason hes getting overlimit without going into overlimit is because its a skill where you get overlimit after a certain amount of hits.

hes hitting away from the target because hes trying to activate a skill called combination. it gives a 1 hit multiplier to the first hit only that hits the enemy, once you hit the enemy it resets.

to activate the skill you have to do a combo of

3 slashes then base>altered>arcane arte

then the first hit after that will be multiplied.

I haven't played the PS3 version and I don't remember if that happens in the 360 version too, but I think that number is the overlimit level at which you are and if you keep comboing it goes up, notice how the color of the overlimit effect on Yuri changes too when the number goes up.
