I don't watch much anime nor have I ever picked up a manga/ comic. But this was the only Anime I have ever watched. I remember when I was a middle school student staying up very late to see this show. Back then I loved it for the music, crazy action, characters, and the overall experience. The culmination of exotic feelings, high energy, imagination, innocence, and memories you have as a kid fades away as you grow older. The bad thing about getting old, you grow mature and find ugly truths.

I really like this sequence a lot. As others have mentioned, the English dub is actually better. I don't think it's the voice acting quite as much (though sometimes the expressions + voices don't match well), but the sound is a bit better all around.

But yeah, this sequence is great. It's not the action so much for me, but when Naota stands up and, essentially, asserts his identity. There is just something cool about that... :)

@ValisX not always the case some times there better prime example Domon Kashu's Raw VA doesn't fit for a guy's voice to high pitched and sguicky even for Japanese guys heck even gays have a less pitched and less sguicky vioce then Domon Kashu's raw va. But his dub VA fits better,I'm one who watchs thhe same animes dubbed and subbed just to see which one I prefer,theres alot thats raw better then dub Va's,Still theres afew dubs better then the raw ones

THIS is how anime was truly intended to be. There is just enough blending of insanity and creativity. It ties together quite beautifully so that the overall story is a fun and memorable experience and not incoherent at all. Oh, and not to mention that the music is just EPIC! Viva FLCL!!!!! XD

sadly this series is sooo short, very unusual for an anime series, i.e. naruto, dragon ball z, one piece
