Tabs? No, but seriously, if you could post a guitar transcription for this I think you'd be the biggest hero in the Jazz guitar community. I think the hardest thing with transcribing sax solos, or any non-guitar solo, is trying to find the sequences and fingerings that work for these types of lines...I wish I could totally grasp the sort of approaches you're taking here, but it's lightning fast and hard to pick up on.
That is crazy amazing! I've always wondered what that solo would sound like (and look like) on the guitar. As a guitarist, it gave me additional appreciation of Coltrane's improvisitory genious. Thank you for that and for nailing it with an outstanding performance. Please post more!
@bhumimanusha actaully he isnt using one specific scale. he is soloing over each specific chord change using a mixture of arpeggios, some scales that go along with each chord, and chromatics. thats how you get the jazzy sound to ur playing. if you want this sound in your playing id recommend first learning how to construct chords and then get a real book and start learnig jazz melodies and practice with the progression in that book. hope im helpfull!
At my performing arts school were doing giant steps and this chick Is going to play this starting today me too i''ll have a video of me doing it probably months from now but major props to you man this is definitely a tough one I definitely need to get me a "jazz" guitar for this one but thanks 4 the vid
Ouch! Watching that made me feel worthless and small. I need a scotch to make me feel better....... Please keep your guitar far away from Grand Rapids!

i don't normally applaud note for note covers but i happen to know that coltrane's lines are demonic on a guitar neck. well done bro. now you can eat other guitarists whole and spit out the strings xD
This is absolutely jaw dropping how good this is … and only 3,000 + views??? what a friggin joke this world has become! then you type "guitar improvisation" on YouTube … and some talentless clown making faces and playing utter garbage is close to 16 Million views??? what a joke!!!
Very impressive. What really gets me is people like this and their ability to memorize note for note compositions. I can memorize and play some solos by my guitar idols, but it takes me forever and I forget it quickly. Good job!
Very skillful playing. My hat goes off to you, good sir. If possible, I'd be interested in seeing a performance of Trane's version of My Favourite Things or his solos on Kind of Blue
quite excellent!

Você tirou de ouvido ou tem a tablatura? Gostaria de tirar uns licks interessantes do Coltrane.
