what halo didn't get inspiration from metroid....halo has basically no puzzles involved and no upgrades to find, exploring or backtracking really. plus halo 1 came out before metroid prime. and if all science fiction shooters are based of metroid then I will eat my shoe
@yosterzzz1212 Metroid Prime may have come out after Halo 1, but the full Metroid Series goes WAY back, so it is the predecessor. Doesn't mean all science fiction shooters are based on Metroid; just saying.
im almost done playing through the wii version of this game, and the dark world doesn't suck. it feels claustrophobic and tedious at first, but it gets better later, because you get upgrades that help you explore the dark world better, and they eventually have you switch between light and dark worlds in very clever, interesting ways.
i hate how they call it an fps, when it's really an adventure game in first-person. i agree about save points, though.
@GamerNinjaX i acually think the only genuine similarities between the two is the fact that the primary antagonists are parasites, and heaps of stuff does that anyway...
@Mochme true, but comparing the game to halo means that they never have played the metroid prime series. It really is a wonderful game and I wish more people would play it today.
@Phleminem Dude Halo is a first person shooter.... Metroid is a first person adventure.... totally different..... you need to be cunning to play this game TRUST ME! i've played all 3 primes and all 3 halos i KNOW what i'm talking about
