I wonder what the name of the spray cleaning solution Luis is using to clean the bathtub. Usually when I clean my bathtub, I use Clorox and Spic and Span with a sponge.
Yes, I remember that. The song was in the first scene of "Mrs. Doubtfire" where Robin Williams was doing a cartoon voiceover for a cartoon of Pudgey the Parrot. I think the name of the song was "Figero" where it was the same tune as here on this skit, except Placido Flammingo was only saying "scruba da scrub" "ruba da rub", and "scrub the tub."
Yes, some skits I remember Robin Williams starring in was where he showed Elmo great things he can do with a stick he was holding, he was in a skit explaining whether his shoe was alive or not, he was in a skit talking about what he can do with his legs, he was in a skit where Grover was singing a song called "Wubba Wubba", and I also remember him being in a skit where he said there are two robins explaining that his name is Robin, and he stood next to a bird Robin saying "two robins."
I noticed that too, and I also put this same comment. I guess the reason why Luis didn't clean the back of the tub was because it was either already clean (maybe only the front had the dirty spots but not the back which is probably why Placido Flamingo was sitting in the back only just to avoid the dirty spots) or because Placido Flamingo was in the way so Luis was unable to clean the back of the tub.
I wonder why Luis didn't clean the back of the bathtub (only the front). Maybe he didn't clean the back of the bathtub either because, it was already clean, he didn't want too, or maybe because Placido Flamingo was sitting in the back in the way where Luis was unable to clean the back of the bathtub. (If Placido Flamingo wanted to sing his opera about "The Bathtub Of Seville" I also wonder why he didn't stand outside of the bathtub and sing so that Luis can clean the whole bathtub).
Placido Flamingo certainly did a great job of singing "The Bathtub of Seville", along with Luis scrubbing the tub while Placido Flamingo was singing the "Scrub" lyrics.
Man, you guys are lucky to have so much old SS on tape just lying around. Out of all the tapes I watched through last year, I only found Elmopalooza (on ABC) and an incomplete 2001 episode (3953).
Luis really was a good sport in this one, wasn't he? I love how bewildered he looks when he hears the applause, and did anyone notice Rubber Duckie hanging out on the side of the tub?
I guess Placido should have gotten out of the tub and sing his opera just so that Luis can clean the whole tub. (I saw that he only cleaned the front and not the back).
OMG, I remember this episode from when I was little. There was another scene here where The Amazing Mumford got Luis wet with his magic wand in the bathtub while he still had his clothes on.
Placido Flamingo was pretty awesome- he let us know a bit about opera in a fun way

Yeah, that was where there were three men in the tub, chanting "rub a dub dub".
Garrettk41 3 years ago
Yes. I think this was episode 2961 from the 1991-1992 Season. It might even be Richard's last performance on the show for all I know.
LincolnHeightsrocks 2 years ago
How would you know it's 2961?
jonnytbirdzback 2 years ago
Because that's when Ssetta says it is. And whatever ssetta says...... is RIGHT
LincolnHeightsrocks 2 years ago
OK. I'll ask ssetta then.

Aren't all of Placido's operas about a sad flamingo?
MarshalGrover 3 years ago
Yeah, because he's the star of all of his operas.
