My daddy said this song reminded him of me and this should be my song!!!He died this last sunday and i wanted to hear it again and remember the good memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Broken hearted
I am not really a country music fan, but I recently found some songs by Mary Chapin Carpenter. WONDERFUL! This is a great song. Check out her live performance of this song at the 1992 CMA show. :)
@thesyxxpac Im different than both of yall not to be mean though. I am a country guy and I am a country music fan. Im from southeast kentucky and Mary Chapin Carpenter is a great singer yall.
I can't believe more people haven't commented. I don't listen to country music at all, but I love this song so much. This lady and Lyle Lovett and Allison Krauss and Union Station are just the best. Thanks for posting. I was smiling and tapping my feet the whole song. Wish there was more upbeat happy music like this. You country fans, any suggestions for a music snob like me?

I remember this song back in high school and it made me a country fan right then and there. She's got talent that can cross any genre.

I'm the same as you. Not a country fan but I love Mary. I remember the CMA performance and have it on tape. I think she surprised a few people there.
