  • Right Elbow too high and you should point out not to grip the bow but rather gently hold the bow. I shoot at GNAS Archery club. There are so many factors to take in what you are showing are the basic principles. Thank you.

  • using my instincts? thats it?

  • @notfree25 That's generally only if you are using a longbow or recurved bow as opposed to a compound. When you have a compound there will usually be sights on it.

  • @notfree25 you just gotta look through your arrow anyways thats how i do it...

  • this video is the only one that really helped me because i have a begginer bow and all other vids. have advanced bows

  • @angelskater12 Beginner bow or super-professional Equipment, it really doesn't matter, the technique is the same.

  • Thanks man this video helped me out for a class presentation

  • thats the best no rubbish beginners video for shooting your bow for the first time, there are no extra bits of rubbish just how to shoot the bow, thankyou.

  • your technique is limited to yourself-of course very good for you but certain peoples' muscles accord to different stances and anchor points

  • can i ask what weight pull that bow has?

  • what type of arrow bow and arrow is that I would like to try it out.

  • @leorang id say a 90 lbs recurve bow. The arrows? Just get some arrows that fit and voila

  • Are you supposed to hold the string with your full fingers or just your fingertips?

  • @MajBlood you're supposed to hold it with the joint closest to your fingertips

  • @Chirimorin1 Yeh I got, thanks. Hurts like a bitch though, I had to put on a tight winter glove to keep it up for long. I will buy some actual archer finger tabs when I get a chance.

  • @MajBlood I have a darton 30mx compound bow, think its from the 80's i dont know much about bow's is it a good one? is it worth keeping? what is it worth?

  • @MajBlood finger pads

  • thats so sick lol u could take some one out Son!

  • Step 9: Get A Quiver

  • @gblan

    hahaahhahahahahahahahahaah

  • @gblan lol

  • @bkbigkid not all bows need 2 b pulled 2 the full draw length, some bows only need 2 b pulled part way, and i just used a bow that u dont have to pull it to its full draw length. its the genisis bow.

  • this type of nocking combined with a large bow is very annoying (at least) in traditional competitions where archers are close to each others .

  • nice, thanks

  • When you say put the nock out do you mean up, right or left

  • Quick and to the point, just the way i like it =).

  • im doing archery in pe at my school and i have a test friday and i have no idea how to shoot but u really helped me i got one more day to practice so wish ,me luck

  • She actually comes to an anchor point which will result in more accurate shooting, where as his anchor point is too far forward, and his elbow too high... sorry for the criticism, but if he ever wants to be a decent archer, he must learn a bit before that will ever happen. One can only become so accurate with lesser than perfect form

  • just a comment on your stance, and form

Your draw arm the Elbow needs to be a little lower Look at the Person Behind you and their rear Elbow, it is a lot lower.

You are giving up a few pounds by not coming to full draw, It appears you could pull another inch or two and Put the Nock of the arrow right in the corner of you mouth.

Good shooting your Form is constant every shot, Work on the few changes. Remember with Recurves you should have a slight cant to the Bow.

  • in are school we use compound bows, sometimes i wish we had long bows

  • Cool, another barebow archer! Good work, nice vid. Clear and informative. Keep 'em coming

  • thats the quietest bow ever

  • A Big thanks from Chints in the UK. Keep up the good work! God bless...

  • What is your poundage? I use a fifty pound rosewood(looking) recurve bow. I use a glove because it is tough on the fingers.

  • ok tell me theres a difference between a recurve and a normal bow?what is the big difference

  • looks though

  • nice bow dude

  • u can also shoot all 3 fingers below all depends how u wana shoot i do all 3 below

  • not bad, though my instructors will tell you to aim first, then pull the string back. What matters is what works best for you.

  • Lol, I needed this thanks

  • nice; clear, informative, no frills no nonsense ~~ and recurve bows! No pulleys!

    Thanks!

  • lol nice reacurve bow
