Is there any way to use other compressors? I know this feature, but it only works with the logic compressor and the logic noise gate. But IMO the logic compressor is a bit slow, even with release set to zero.
Yes you can use other compressors, even ones that dont have a sidechain input, if your daw allows for flexible signal routing and grouping you can achieve the same results with any compressor and even create some other wicked effents. The signal just has to get to the right place :)
