The poor always pay more taxes because there are more of us to tax.If only we could all claim back expenses, then we would all be better off.Let's be honest though,to keep the rich happy they must have a number of ways to claim back taxes that the great unwashed aren't allowed to.
Why conflate evasions and avoidance? Quite what parts of avoidance are morally wrong? Pension contributions? ISAs? Gift Aid?
Lazy thinking drifting into the sort of moral laxity that is so much easier than recognising that there are hard decisions that have to be made. Obsessing over the behaviour of a few super-rich types that are beyond the reach of national governments is externalising problems and not realising the true nature of the mess we are getting ourselves into.
