@blueyed25 not really awkward at all ;) they were confused. they didn't know if we meant we were having twins, or if we were even pregnant at all. They definitely weren't expecting it though. In all my videos you can tell, they are nothing but happy about being grandparents.

I dunno how I ever missed this. It was so cute. What a wonderful idea :) We told our parents over the phone but they don't live near by. I wished we could have done something like this, what a cute vid. There is no way I could have held off until a holiday to tell them which is the only time we see them. It will be a LOT of fun to look back at this in 10+ years as a family of 3 :)

My mom was super excited but I wasn't super sure how my husband's parents felt when we told them, however, now they are very excited !

honestly I was worried too! A few reactions from certain others were "damn that was quick!" and I'm like, why do people think that's not rude to respond that way? Oh well! I feel like, its not the pregnant couple is saying "I'm pregnant, pay for me to raise my child please". I'm the one who has to carry it, birth it, and we have to raise, it, so they have the easy part lol
LOL... So funny. Your mom is amazing. Kinda similar to my parents reaction. Well, my moms atleast. She was completely shocked. But once she had time to process it all she was happy. She was worried for a while though because I was "so young." But also Jon and I aren't married or anything lol
lol thats good to know! I was actually more worried about how Derek's mom would react, because like my mom said she has no room to talk! She had just given birth to my brother at 2 months before her 23rd b-day, and I'm just now pregnant 2 months b4 mine! And Derek is going to be 29 in December so he def isn't too young..but still 1st grandbabies always make them feel old! haha
haha I know!! Ron was the only one not toooo surprised, he said "anyone that knows you 2 knows you wanted kids soon". I'm glad we could surprise them with their first grandchild!
