  • it the coil made from ferrite matterial or plastic spool? with the magnet inserted?

  • @eloid777

It is two windings of 23 AWG wound around a soft iron bolt. With a third winding around the out side of the other two.

A ferrite rod should work better.

This was just a coil I had sitting around from a pulse motor I was working on.

  • DUDE! youre awesome! You had just made the joule thiefpulse about LOADS of times more, thus forwarding more energy on to be converted into volts and to be more dangerous (i think) ROCK ON DUDE!

  • Slayer, What happens when you oscillate, radiatej, or spark into piezo electric crystal container? Mathenika Testatica? Gray's Spark Tube? Overunity?

  • Nice experiment, if you want to measure voltages higher than 1000V with this meters use voltage divider from two resistors.(about 1000k+ ones) calculate it do divide voltage ten times. And you won't go off scale. But remember to multiply meter reading by the division rate.

  • 1000V? AMAZING!!!!!!

  • I have to agree

  • Amazing i will save this video on my account so it may never get lost. Great work Slayer ;o)

This effect could be called slayer effect. Tell me your real name with a personal massage thanks.

  • could you tell us which response in the joule thief thread has the schematic for this, please? my friend is very interested in this! :)

  • I replicated this with a similar but smaller coil. I measured the operation with a scope and the pulse was around 200V (measured from the diode to ground) and the magnets just made the frequency of the oscillation higher. I didn't get any real audible oscillations since the smaller coil made the frequency go far beyond 20kHz.

  • Interesting circuit none the less!

  • Nice, I found this out when I was making my bedini motor it changes the frequency of the pulses when the magnets are on the coil. I think that is how it needs to be tuned for a pulse motor, have you put this though a fluorescent tube yet? If so can you do a video?

    Paul.

  • excellent work Slayer007!! i love it!

im having trouble getting it into self oscillating mode, wat is the secret?? I cant download the pic on energetic forum for some reason

  • Sorry dodoshlodo I think you have to register at the fourms to download it,but it's free.

If it's not going into osollation mode it might have a wire wrong or a lose wire.

  • yeh thats the thing, ive been registered for ages, i can log in, but i keep getting a message saying i dont have access privilages, i cant even make posts, its really annoying, i really like energeticforum....

is this right: u hook up the start of coil A to the Positive side and the end of coil B, and the other ends go to the transistor side of the circuit?

  • I am registered there too but get the same message you do

  • youtube user - lidmotor did a replication and goes into more detail about parts and assembly

  • yeh ive been avidly following lidmotors work for a while now...

Send the forum a message and they re-activated my account, finally!

  • in your opinion what is the magnets doing?

what is the minimal voltage the 3055 will run at?

    great job

  • The magnet seems to be changing the speed of the oscillation of the coil.

As for the power I'm not really sure but it will run off a AA battery that has about 1 volt in it.

  • in this vid, wat battery source are u running it off? how many volts do u get on the back end when u use the AA??

  • WOW!!! Put four of those on a 747 and go flying!! That's what they sound like. What are you going to do with that much voltage?

  • LOL It does kinda sound like a jet engine.

As far as the voltage I think I'm going to have to use it with a smaller battery or a solar panel.

  • great work my friend...

  • that is a humongous coil for a jt circuit.
