Umm...hmm...what to say for a comment...I simply MUST comment, since I do on every vid I watch (that wasn't made by someone who BLOCKED ME! DX )...Umm...umm...Slimes. Okay, yeah, slimes: they don't spawn above the bottom 16 layers of the map (if that's changed since 1.6.5, please let me know, someone) so...yeah. Kurt needs to go down far to find slimes.

You're not missing much with slimes other than the easy exp...they're frequently a bit buggy and a pain in the arse. More than once a King Slime has managed to simply slam me around while above or below me in an area I'm not keen to smash up, and cause a lethal fall or outright kill.

When they're not bugged and you can reliably hit them...yeah, the exp rolls in then :-) Hubby's mine on his home island has a huge wild slime prob...err, population.

Kurt don't lose the Magma Creams cause once you get a brewing stand you can make fire potions to fight blazes. If you add redstone dust to fire potions they last for like 10 minutes. Or you can use glowstone dust to make lvl 2 fire potions but they last shorter.

I really don't understand why Kurt is so afraid of Ghasts. I feel safer in the Nether than in the normal world... and I am ever haunted by the unexpected creeper attack. It seems whenever I decide to go caving (a very rare event) I seem to get repeatedly bombed by creepers. Once I saw some gold, mined it, then a creeper fell out of the sky on top of me, blew up, then about three more did the same thing. Ghasts on the other hand, are my best friend. They are my ultimate weapon against the Pigmen.

Just to tell you Kurt, you had the good idea of using pillars. Though on your later trips, bring cobble to make a 1x3 pillar and put a torch on the side where it is facing your exit or a previous pillar. That's how I find my way back. Also brin a bow and arrows and fire resistant potions (you just need nether warths now).

Kurt, you're so incredibly lucky! Five minutes into the Nether and you're already in a Nether Fortress, hunting Magma Cubes. Btw, those Magma Cream drops are the most valuable items atm in the game, imho... after a bit of brewing they grant you the ability to swim and dive in lava and play with Blazes.

Wow, I cant believe you found that so easily. It was literally on the other end of that closed off cave. It took me forever to find my first stronghold in the Nether and it was only a few hallways. The rest either didn't exist or was completely buried underground with no way to get to it.
