@IncredibleXhamster hmm, not too sure. We all learn at different paces so it's hard to say. I covered this 2 years ago, so I would have been playing for about 2 and a half years. You could always try it and if you find it difficult learn some other songs until you get better and better then keep trying. You'll eventually be able to play it :)

I taught myself a noob version of Simple and Clean and then decided to take lessons. But then i hated it so I quit. I have no idea how to play 2 different things in each hand.. my hands wont let me. Any advice?
@DannyDaBaga lol I've never had lessons so maybe you can relate to this. Just keep practicing. Start with one hand, then once you master that try adding in the second but take it slow. If you keep at it you'll eventually get it. Hope this helps ^__^

@1just12comment There's a couple things you can try to help with the left hand's accuracy and speed on the fast part. 1) Play each beat as a chord or chords instead of a melodic line - that helps with building the muscle memory for where your hands need to be. 2) Change up the rhythm for each beat - play one fast, one slow, then switch it up. That helps build control. 3) Concentrate on the places where you have to move your hand. --
@1just12comment 3) cont'd - Find a method you're comfortable with and practice the hell out of it. For instance, on the way up, I cross over from the A to C# with my middle finger, but on the way down I find it's easier to move my whole hand for each register. Hope that helps!
I like, my friend, but it was far from Kyle landry's. Some constructive critisizm would be maybe just learn at least the left hand parts, they are my favorite :)
You can also mix up the tempos too to make it more passionate, I liked the pressure changes but it still lacked dynamics :)

I mean, I still have the same problem. i can play octaves but it hurts from my wrist to my elbow and I don't want to risk tendinitis or deform my puny little forelimbs by forcing. =.=

@codegeassf4n Good advise. =) I would say I play everyday, for maybe two or more hours. I do practice octave scales. I can barely reach and yet I'm learning to play "Rue Des Cascades" by Yann Tiersen in between! I've got way too high expectations for myself sometimes. T^T But you're right, only practice will help and good techinques, as well. =D

very good, you have potential if you keep at it lol ^^ just keep working on that bass hand until you can play it... learning harder songs first will get you frustrated but will teach you much faster if you have the patience and determination to work it out correctly (plays a little bit of most instruments, and any trumpet I can find lol ^^)

@codegeassf4n Lucky! I'm still trying to do octaves and it's just not possible. I'm seventeen now and I still can't do octaves! I mean, I still have the same problem. i can play octaves but it hurts from my wrist to my elbow and I don't want to risk tendinitis or deform my puny little forelimbs by forcing. =.=
How'd you do that though!? Do you do an exercise to stretch? O.o

@TwiddleXTormenT lmao idk it took me awhile 2 realize how 2 do it, like i would just stretch my fingers 2 the max 2 try and hit the notes. i guess after almost playing for a year my fingers got longer. and i dont do any stretch or stuff. i just play it. :p im actually suprise i taught myself these things cuz it hard learning from old age :p. but how often do u play? cuz i try 2 play everyday for like couple hours. oh and it will hurt 2 try and hit the notes. just practice you'll get used 2 it :D

@codegeassf4n Good advise. =) I would say I play everyday, for maybe two or more hours. I do practice octave scales. I can barely reach and yet I'm learning to play "Rue Des Cascades" by Yann Tiersen in between! I've got way too high expectations for myself sometimes. T^T But you're right, only practice will help and good techinques, as well. =D

@TwiddleXTormenT lmao ya when i first started playing. or when i first got a piano, just searched simple and clean synthesia and started lol :p i actually thought i would learn it in like 2 months :p but didnt took me almost 7 or sumthing like that lol, but ya u should practice pratice pratice, i find piano rly fun :)

i think youve simplified it too much, its not as hard the kylelandry version, ive learnt it and i say this is piss easy compared, BUT this does sound prettyy darn good all over soo im not sure what to think..(p.s look out for my upload of this coming soon peeps!!)

very good, you have potential if you keep at it lol ^^ just keep working on that bass hand until you can play it... learning harder songs first will get you frustrated but will teach you much faster if you have the patience and determination to work it out correctly (plays a little bit of most instruments, and any trumpet I can find lol ^^)
