@21nct the south won more battles than the north did but the reason they lost was because they did not have the money to supply soldiers with guns weapons clothes but the north could every time a union soldier died the north would replace him with about 2 men per death the south could not

Not really. In certain theaters of the war the south won more, in others the north won more.

But as you hit on, in the end, logistics were on the North's side though even the north was hurting man power wise, hence the growing numbers of black regiments and pulling the "Band Box" units out of garrison.

@21nct it doesnt matter if they were in winter or what ever some still didnt have uniforms some walked through snow with no shoes the south was VERY poor and could not supply every one with uniforms and not every won owned one so they wore civilian or farmer etc.

Gods and Generals is wayyyy bad compared to the civil war. And just because you saw something on gods and generals doesent make it true. They used rev was UNIFORMS not coustums in civil war, ut get rid of them VERY VERY VERY quickly. They would just switch to soemthing els. The north did not use them at ALL.

Yes, flintloack were mainily brought from home to fight. You werent completly wrong. And yea, some federals wore the grey and some johynnys whore blue(lousisna tigers, 33rd VA, ect.).
