the spartan laser was way too overpowered in the BETA.... but they made the crosshair bigger and made it shoot a bigger beam making it harder to hit enemies from far away and thus the enemy takes MUCH less damage. with a bigger beam it wouldn't spread as much and will not have as powerful piercing ability as it had before..... but will at least take out a warthog in 1 shot :p
