I love how loud exhaust makes girls with short shorts smile and walk away lol... Fun fact... Manswers stated that 333hertz is the magic note from a vehicles exhaust that makes a girl horny lol. That particular car is the Maserati Quattroporte, which shares the Ferrari derived 4.2 or 4.7 V8 making 400-424hp. Imagine that, lol. what female doesn't get wet or what dude doesn't get a stiffy listening to a Ferrari engine?!? The Porsche GT3 flat-6 is my fav, I grew up around Porsche's 911/928/914/356.

Are the cat's built into the OEM exhaust manifolds ? cuz it shouldn't be that raspy with just headers... usually get rasp from no cats and no res... i've heard RS4's with out resonators before and i dont recall them being quite as raspy, is why i ask.

Outstanding. I love the fact someone put "hot rod" headers on a European saloon. Sounds great. Run-DMC really ices the cake, though. Hope to see you out there (I'm in Westchester Co.).

Yeah,I here you.I have some of these kids with some really rediculous cars come in to the shop.I do not think 4cyl cars should be loud at all,they sound like shit.I have a supercharged hyundai sonata that has the 2.7 v6 w/ true duals w/ hushpower II mufflers that sounds alot like a ferrari,and my 455 olds cutlass has flowtech afterburners on it,and sounds really deep and mean.I guess I am like you ,it just depends on the car and your personal taste.persolally I HATE FLOWMASTERS.

sorry, but i can tell you that your HYUNDAI lol does not sound better than an wrx STI 4cyl boxer engine..... not all of our 4cyl's sound bad :)

This is a matter of opinion.Loud does not always mean "sick" in a good way.I work at a muffler shop part time ,and some cars sound worse the louder they are.kooks actually has a updated muffler that sounds simular,but alot smoother.

I like the rawness of it. Im not saying Loud is always better, but this type of loud is plain mean. You can have a civic be loud with a 45 foot diameter muffler and I will laugh the whole way as it parades its grotesque vehicular symphony down the street.

take the fucking resonator off again ... i know it sounds crazy wild and we can hear you coming from like 5 miles away, but you got an RS4, dont tell me you got it for "luxury purposes" you have one of the best thoroughbread European sports cars, it sounds damn amazing with the those headers and no resonator ... unless the wife and kids are complaining that its too loud ... what other improvements / upgrades did you do? Regardless, fantastic sound!!!

It doesn't matter whether it's American or European. It has a V8, so it should sound aggressive. My slightly modified A6 4.2 sounds similar, though not quite as loud.

this must be like a pre-production setup, because i went to kook's, and they had no production system for audis. definitely a clean and mean sound though!

This is a custom setup, not a production item.

Exhaust only - cat-back.

I believe it's 3" piping with Borla Mufflers. The tips were ones I purchased from overseas and are larger then the stock RS4 tips.

It's a custom fabricated exhaust by Kooks Custom Headers located in Bay Shore, NY. It's completely modular so I can swap the mufflers (stock and Kooks)and center resonators (resonated or non-res). I believe they used Borla mufflers.
