The router is a great tool and hugely versatile but has also, in my opion, become over used by many, where other alternatives would perform the same task in an easier and faster manner.
One thing people tend to forget is accuracy, is the base exact 90° to the motor and is the plunge absolutely stable to achieve the exact 90°. I´ve seen €300 routers fail on this point.
yes i totaly agree with you about that router with the switch that you have to keep pushed in with ur thumb as you try to opperate they should be taken off the market its impossible to opperate them safely it was a health and safety thing that come up with that idea i said to a safety officer that machine is usless with that type of switch a proper slide switch is the only way you can opperate these machines
