WPLG in Miami used the sign-off music (Tap Root Manuscript: African Suite), playing it over the closing credits of their late newscasts in the late 70s.

I think that music before the SSB was used by WFAA-TV in their 70's sign-off, which got one last airing the day WFAA-TV went all digital.

And the SSB film, saw this one at a WFLX-TV West Palm Beach, FL sign-off.
