  • @coragal You guys put on a great show that day. Don't remember if we filmed more as this was a few years ago.. There are more dances on our other channel roco43 shot at the same place but I think it's another group. Thanks for the comment, and the dances :)

  • This dance troupe is called Nunukle Kunjiel. The songs and dances comes from north stadbroke island but the guys dancing are descendants from the gold coast Yugambeh. 1 of the best dance troupes in Queensland

  • @coragal Thanks for the information.

  • I know some of these dancers - they are from stradbroke island off the coast of Brisbane. I won't say too much about each one because it isn't my culture - the first dance is called "merriginpa" which means "sea eagle" in the nunuccal language. The next dance is called "garing en daname" and is welcoming the spirits of the old people and the last song i think is a dance for mother earth, for country. These dancers are called the yulu burribah dancers which means the "sand and saltwater people"

  • @faheyball Thanks, I'm sure many viewers will appreciate this information.

  • Pleasure OzPix ! i envied the Aboriginese way of life...;)))))

  • Let the world roll on as it please,we shall dance to our heart content deep within the safety of the brush.Eating wild games, roots and grubs, basking our arse in the sun.The outsiders, what do they know about true happiness ?

  • irrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hahahahahahahahahahah it is realy ridiculous , im sorry

  • @osama8219 Why do you keep putting my people down? Have my people done you wrong? Your race of people are just as Hated as mine, so why the insightful comments? Check your religion, and tell me where Aboriginal Australia has fucked with Libya? Its not in there is it.. So you must be listening to dickheads telling you crap about my people. What is ridiculous is your lack on knowledge about us. your comments show you up as a follower not a leader. Educate yourself before opening your mouth.

  • awesum

  • @coconutcrabz54 Thanks

  • do you have the lyrics to this? My music class group wants to do a performance like this.

  • @099Lizzie Sorry, can't help you with the lyrics for this song. Thanks for watching.

  • @099Lizzie I believe it is the native language. You probably wouldn't be able to sing it, because you don't know the language?

  • Greetings from the United States.

I am working with a team of theatre artists, ritual leaders and peacebuilders about how performances contribute to understanding across cultural differences. We have some small funds available to pay for video usage, and wondered if you would consider being included. Is there a time when one of you might be free for a chat? If so, please tell me the name and number to call. A good time of day for me would be 9 or 10 in the morning there.

    Thank you!!!

  • @arl4228 Thanks, but we only do these vids as a hobby.

  • 0:05 - 0:40 and 1:30 - 2:00 the true pioneers of hard techno except these people actually know how to dance

  • @strobe9 Sure do, thanks for comment.

  • Maori Haka is very energetic and interesting to watch.

  • @ecute13 Yes, saw some in New Zealand recently. Thanks for watching again..

  • I was given this video to do a report on in my Dance Appreciation class. I really enjoyed watching this video and am glad I got the chance to do research on this style of dancing.

Could you please help me by telling me more about these dances in the video? Are they telling a story? Do they have a name? I have guesses what they are telling but I would like to know for sure. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • @MsMyrlene Sorry for the delay. I did post a reply but it seems to have vanished into cyberspace... Most Aboriginal dances tell a story with many of Australia's animals represented in the dance movements. As we are only the photographers we do not know more, however other viewers may be able to add to this, also try Wikipedia. Good luck with your class.

  • @MsMyrlene the 2nd dance is 'gurring en darnarmi'.. its a welcome dance for alot of tribes in SE Qld n other neighbouring tribes.. common dance that was performed @ Bunya Nut festival held when the Bunya Nut harvest was ready..tribes came from 100's of kms away..

I know these brothers personally & could get more info on them..

  • Nice show!!

Are you part of the troop. I love aboriginal music, it comes from heart and touches ones soul.

Aboriginal people are like soul of this land. They are having hard time in their own country. I wonder how it feels not have our own identity in our own motherland? I strongly support that the culture should be preserved and passed to coming generation.

Do you feel any hatred towards white blokes?

  • Thanks, glad you enjoyed the show, and we agree with all that you have said. However, we are not part of the troop, only the photographers - and white blokes. To feel hatred towards anyone is a negative emotion which is ultimately soul destroying. Concentrate on the positives and enjoy your culture.
