  • is there any store where you could buy hand wraps..

  • @MissKatherineLopez no, unfortunately they arent for sale

  • @MissKatherineLopez Amazon.com... plenty there.

  • @therealkimsta Thanks!

  • Good

  • Best hand Wrap video on youtube great Technique.

  • good stuff

  • Very nice, thank you. Greetings from Germany.

  • nice instruction. Thank you.

  • Sorry but i consider this tecnique good, but i think my is better. My intencion is not to ofend any one,i just wont to help,go watch the video on my chanel, best regards

  • most comfortable wrap i've come across

  • Is 108' or 180' better for just hitting the heavy bag?

  • nice

  • can these be used for weight lifting?

  • @anuragsharma08 Sorry for the late reply, but you can use these for lifting weights I did it for a while, but then i went and bought some Harbinger lifting straps there just like regular hand wraps, but thicker and they have the loop for the thumb, but the support the wrist every well. If your looking for a wrap too lift weights check those out.

  • @civicmaneg6 thank you for replying :) what do you think about lifting with no wrist support at all? i've started working out with gloves that do not have any wrist support, just lil padding for the palms and i feel my forearms working more to stabilize the weight in pressing movements. what do ya think?

  • @anuragsharma08 Say you want to workout with dumbbells right your wrist will start hurting because thier's no support, but once you start wrapping them you will see a whole difference because there supported now. Gloves are good , but I use to lift with Everlast that had a cross velcro system and wrist support system they were killer and the padding was great they look like grappling glove if you need to know they stand out from other gloves so try them $19.99 and the wrist wrap they work great.

  • @civicmaneg6 got your point. makes sense. thank you once again friend:)

  • @anuragsharma08 Anytime.

  • gsp wraps his hands that way but the thing is he does not make it too high he will just wrap the wrist if there is excess.

  • can anyone send me a link for rolling up your hand wraps? i cant do it

  • @vSoulTip

just roll it up on a pen

  • thats the way i was taught but with the thumb first does it matter? and i rap my wrist tight like that however my velcro has all warn off and now i just tuck my endings into my wrist are this makes it come loss as i am using my punching bag or what ever it may be any suggestions?

  • cool tutorial! we have the same hand wraps :P

  • now that, is how u do em:) if only i knew how to do it ur way LOL

  • what is the difference between a 108 wrapor 180?

  • Great instruction. I looked at a lot of videos on the topic but yours is the one I favorited. Your method seems most natural, making it easy to remember but still effective.

  • Yes I do have a tip for you. First of all, your wrap might have too much elasticity to it. I like a wrap with very little elasticity. Regardless, a good solution would be to wrap using moderate support and reinforce the wrist area with a cotton based sports tape similar to what professionals use on top of their gauze. This should add the support you need without cutting off circulation. Good luck and keep me posted.

  • @jdentmedia i like elastic hand wraps cause it is easier to wrap your fingers

  • Hey man i need help, i have elastic 180s, and when ever i wrap my hands, its still feels like my wrist has no support, and when i wrap tight enough for my wrists to be supported, my fingers turn purple. Do you have any tips?

  • Thanks for this video.

Been boxing since a year ago but I've been plagued by injuries mainly due to bad wrapping (Hitting someone's guard with full power + bad wrapping = sore fingers and wrist)

  • I really can't to do it on my right hand... :D

  • Hey jdentmedia, thanks for the video! I just started boxing this month and I'm really glad I found this video. This wrapping technique worked very well for me! This questions a little off the topic of wrapping, but, could you offer me any advice on how to increase my punching power?

  • Question. Should wraps be worn under bag gloves or instead of bag gloves when I'm working the heavy bag? I have both the wraps you show here as well as a set of Everlast bag gloves and am wondering what the best way to use them would be.

  • Hey i was wondering if the wrap is tighter will it make it uncomfortable? I want good protection for knuckles and wrist...should i wrap it tight or looser?

  • Hi and thanks for your inquiry. The handwrap is made by Everlast and it is their 180 inch wrap which has a bit of elasticity to it so it conforms nicely to the shape of your hand. You can go to Everlast's website to purchase and it's a fairly inexpensive wrap but it is durable. Good luck!

  • What's the name of that band? and where can i buy it?

    Thanks for this amazing tutorial.

  • wat happen with the right hand

  • its gordon freeman!

  • i will keep to this technique, its much easier but my wraps arent long enough

  • The only reason I use wraps is to stop ma knuckles gettin skinned from the inside of the gloves. Your should not hurt your wrist if you punch properly but this is the correct way to put wraps on

  • Wraps are for girls. Bare knuckle karate. Your hand will break no matter what. If you hit wrong. Why not condition your knuckles. Plus it adds cushions. Your gloves does that. I like to sport tape my knuckles. Three times. Rip. Wrist. Three times. Rip. And your finger knuckles. Try it. Your opponent will feel your punches more. besides. Wraps will last only five minutes. Then done. The reason people wrap there wrist started with the Greeks. But the fought with it. The first gloves.

  • thank you very much sir !

  • excellent video.... a very big thank you from east london uk.

  • thanks man.....out of all the videos i looked at urs was the best for me!!

  • wow this is like my method, only better:p i have been fooling around for a while now and came across this, the best i have found 'till now:D

  • Nice video this works the best for me although I put an extra wrap the other way around the thumb and its perfect thanks a lot.

  • why do u have to have gaws and ape on your hands when u have sanctioned fights why cant u use hand wraps?

  • Thanks for posting this. It really works great.....best wrap I have tried, especially for the heavy bag. Lots of support, bracing and protection. Allows me to work longer and with more confidence and comfort.

  • just wondering but what kind of wrap do you use, what's it called.

    pease send me a reply.

  • So I've started to take an intrest in boxing. Nothing much, but I would like to maybe joining a class to see what it's like. But really, I don't really know much about boxing. One thing I've always wondered about though was just how the tape supported your hands and protected your fists.

  • I found this technique the best so far, Thank You for the video :D

  • OK, I've seen about 6 videos on how to wrap your hands for boxing, and everybody said something a little different. I sure wish there was a standard video by the Boxing Athletic Comissioner on legal hand wrapping.

  • @Solowizard this wrapping technique is usually used for mma. in boxing you just wrap your knuckles and the wrist.

  • @chakijzftw - Most professional boxers I've seen look like they have a cast on both hands. It also looks like the knuckles have a HUGE THICK layer of guaze under the wrap.

  • thanks john

  • You can also buy hand wraps at sports authority

  • o my god thank you soo much i just got in to boxing and my instructer has been on me about my wraps and you helped out ALOT!

  • Can i use the UFC gloves with this?

  • hey...i am lookin for the best way to wrap my hands for MMA and your style look like i protects the important parts....but is it used for MMA???

  • these are longer Pro level wraps *180 inches.

  • my wrap is too short on all of the movies how comes that :'(??????????

  • where can I buy hand wrap?

  • @bigT8768 In a muay thai shop. Make sure you buy Firtex brand, if you buy other brands, after washing few times, the rubber will get weaken. But Fairtex will least likely to happen.

  • my hand isnt the rite shape for this! inbetween the index finger then behind the thumb it just slides off my thumb :S

  • @jdentmedia well like i said i wrap between fingers to seccure the wrapping on the knuckles cuz when i put on my glove it doesnt destroy it all

  • @Zorly you wrap between fingers to secure the wraping around the knucles..

  • its a 108 handwraps..look bigger cuz he didnt roll it tight :P do the same for me

  • @shounky007 Hi Shounky007. I wrap between the fingers to prevent bunching of the metacarpal bones. Splitting throught the fingers keeps the bones separated. Otherwise, you can do more damage than good if your bones bunch. The wrap is a 180 and it is a mix between cotton and spandex. Thanks for your post!

  • @shounky007 No way in hell these are 108's These have to be 180's. Take your 108's and follow these directions I just did it and i got no where close to done.

  • does this apply to all? cuz i do muay thai

  • also are they just cotton wraps or a mix of cotton and spandex

  • I can see that the wraps are everlast but what length, I got the 108 and they're not as big as this one.

  • I would say 180"

  • i have those same kind of wraps.. =]

  • thats a great wrap

  • why wrap between the fingers ?

  • I was told the reason between the finger so when you put on your gloves the wrap does not ride up on your hands or slide around.

  • @preludin1 aaah okey thanks :P

  • to add more support

  • great wrap.. cheers

  • what is better for typical training with beg? gloves or wrap?

  • wrap with no gloves is better because it strengthens your fist more

make sure you hit the bag properly tho

  • that is right. You could also skip the wraping around the knuckel if you want to strengthens your knuckels but still have support for the wrist. Thats what i do

  • gloves and wrap .....

  • Thank you John!! My wraps are not elastic is that a big problem ?

    greets from Amsterdam...

  • thank you so much. ive tried so many other wrapping techniques from other people, but they feel uncomfortable. i like yours though

  • i notice you wrap your hands tighter than most people, the poor circulation doesn't bother you?

  • Hi Maxdecphoenix and thanks for your comment. Of course we all have different preferences. Some like it loose fitting while others like it snug. I prefer to wrap around the wrist area snug for added reinforcement to the wrists. I've seen others wear it so loose that it appears to me all they are doing is keeping their hands warm.

  • lol that last part really sounds like me back in '02 when i was in the army. i fell in love with the speed bag and ended up bying some wraps but didn't know how to use them so i wrapped all my knuckles.. it was just horrible job. then one day i got it in my head to nail the heavy bag -something i hadnt done since i was 5-, threw a right hook as hard as i could, wrist rolled out and ended up pulling something. had to take a few weeks off ;;

  • Hahahaa

    Failed man ;D

Well that's what happened to me too 1 week ago,,,

But it wasn't so bad ;)

  • @jdentmedia i'm 14 and i have a smaller hand. what size do you think i should buy? thanks

  • @maxdecphoenix check my way to put bandage on my chanel

    best regards

  • how long are those wraps ? with mine i can only wrap it about 7 times and they finished :/

  • 4,5m - 5m

  • Thanks for this! I practise Mixed Martial Arts and in the past used the Muay Thai method of handwrapping, which is more focused on protecting the knuckles than actually supporting the wrist and hand. I've been using this method and it's worked out much better! Many thanks!

  • Hi plankcore. Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad to hear the technique is working for you. It sure saved my hands and wrists over the years and I've tried all sorts of techniques. Good luck with your MMA! John

  • Thanks i live a 10minute bike ride to Jupiter Boxing Club in Jupiter, Florida I'm instrsted in doing Brazilian Jiu Jiustu . When Jupiter High School starts wrestling again i will come on the days i don't have wrestling !

  • Thanks for the information i hope to be there next week !

  • this is almost exactly how i put my wraps on...i've never thought to put the criss cross around the wrist in the end...nice tip

  • A little added reinforcement never hurts. Thanks youtang!

  • how long was that wrap ?

  • 4.55

  • Thanks John, very helpful for a beginner and has worked well!
