This anime is fricking hilarious. Especially the 3rd episode where SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT Jadeite knocks Usagi to the ground and starts approaching with a rape face, just to be scared off by Tuxedo Mask's rose. "Oh snap, a rose, f*** this" and Tuxedo Mask appears just to say "Goodbye! Hahahahaha!" and disappears into the night. I was watching it with about 8 people, everyone laughed their asses off to that WTF-moment. But overall, I'd say it's pretty good for an old anime.

WOw, this one is actually different than the one Ive always seen, in the 0:59 scene the girls dont change into scouts by taking off their capes, they just dance offscreen, and the moon effect is different.

Also, the effect inside Tuxedo Mask's cape at 0:42 is different.

@aniwatcher1 this started the anime. it was the first one in the US. i'm sure japan had others before this, but in any case this is the best Anime there is next to dragon ball z, yu yu hakasho, and inyuahsa. those are most likely before your time as well. This anime is the base for all anime if you will. it was this and DBZ back in the 90's. oh then totally spies came around also

They never finished them in English. I don't know about any other country other than Japan. I think SuperS was canceled mid-season & the last one, Stars, wasn't shown at all...probably because they had a hard time trying to edit the transvestite senshi (sailor scouts), Uranus and Neptune's obvious relationship, & the amount of growth in the mindset of the characters (they become teenagers in high school in Stars, so they think and act like...teens....if you know what I mean, lol).

Well, Usagi was the first senshi to be discovered, and one by one the other senshi were discovered after her. Minako on the other hand was discovered by Artemis before Usagi, but eventually they met up. I think (if I can remember xD)that in the first season only Ami and Rei were discovered [after Usagi] so there's only 3 senshi shown in this opening... but please correct me if I'm wrong ^_^
