@arjunaliasincara yeah.. it can go easily touch 180 with new VVT petrol engine. Usually petrol engines revive more that diesel.. But new diesel swift is not that competent as old one due to performance tuning for mileage even though both holds the same DDIS engine. Old diesel can touch a max of 170-175. but new one can touch a max speed of 160.
I did 150kmph on stock Swift diesel LDi which has clocked 24000kms. It has stock tyres and this attempt was done between Kolar and Mulbaghal on NH4 on 22-Dec-2011. The steering became light at that speeds and only straight line speeds appeared to be confident providing.
@sabarishas2k Actually it was my friend driving at this speed........If u want to achieve this kind of speed..see that u have good set of tires(Michelin or bridgestone) for proper grip! stock tiers make ur car vibrate and wobbly!
nah that's only 110 mph, nowt to brag about, my astra 1.3cdti does 100 mph which is 160 kmh at 3000 rpm in 6th gear and 135ish which is nearer the 230 kmh mark at 4000 rpm
i have a brand new swift petrol will it go beyond 160?
