@deathcatg yeah but considering the show is based on the dolls first(cartoons were just 30 minute commercials back then, lol) her story arc might have changed by the time they were ready to introduce her into the show. Takes too long in a 30 minute "Mom I want this!" trigger to explain the specifics. And besides she was more a Misfits than a Hologram, Stinger or even a Starlight Girl, lol.

Me and my sister had jem and misfit dolls. We used to act out jem episodes in front of my older brother who loved the show too. None of us are speaking today, but those memories are still embedded in my mind like it happened yesterday. Priceless.

You can hear that song in the opening theme of the Jem cartoon. But when the Misfits are singing it they do not use Clash's name. Instead they say " But we're the Misfits our songs are better. We are the Misfits, the Misfits. And we're going to get her". Yes, I know I am a dork.

Yes, I did watch Jem. She was on the same show as Bigfoot and the Muscle Machines and Robotix. Wasn't crazy about Jem, but she was better than Inhumanoids.

@RossLGould The Misfits were awesome. At least you could see what they were and what they did a mile off. Jem's two timing herself with her anger-management issue boyfriend and her compulsive lying to cover her tracks was a bit more tricky for kids to pick out morally...though I guess it made for good TV, I always preferred the dark side.

Rest of the holograms were cool though =D.

Synergy is possibly the most awesome doll ever.

yeah. that's what i heard. the barbie doll may have come frst but as far as music and the cartoon Jem came first. then mattel saw how popular it had become and decided to cash in on it with barbie and the rockers. Jem was better quality though.

Check out the girls' hairstyles and the old school cassette players!! I have a taped copy of one of the Jem cassette tapes. Music Is Magic is my favorite Jem song. I still love this show and its music, and I'm 31!
