Best thing you should do is to have 2 game saves. One to use cheats and just mess around, and the other to play the game the game for the story and trophies.

@greensp4rk Well you don't have to fully complete the game to unlock the full map. You unlock it by playing about 1/3 or less of the game. I may be wrong at exactly when you unlock it all, but I know for sure it's not when you beat the story.
