The song brings back memories of an era where this, Elvira and other cheesy songs were on top 40 radio. Growing up in a new subdivision in Cape Coral Florida. To be young again :)
my mom listened to this song when she was my age ! my gramma showed it to her .now i love i memorized it ! my mom remembers sitting in the back of the convertabale listening to it.
When I went to college in the early 90s I forgot all the 80s tunes I grew up with and embraced the Classics of the 1960s and 1970s. Only now can I look back and realize some of these 80s tunes, like this one, are true classics in their own right and have stood the test of time. I get a thrill when people half my age love and appreciate this stuff.
In the 80s, music was alive. So many fantastic songs were created by so many fantastic artists. What do we have today? Noise wrapped up in a CD case and a fancy cover. Today's 'music' isn't even music!
but seriously today music is very inventive, have you heard britney's new album "circus" it was very inventive, she create a new genre of music, 'fake techno - computer generated vocal' or has it been around for the last 5 years idk? lol
fishtank133 your a very WISE youg MAN. i agree with you! more so since i was alive in the 1980's i was born in 1978, and i remember all these artist's and music, so i agree with you 510% :)
totally agree, like now its just mostly about band image rather than the music that is made. same with rock music, th i feel rock music was best in the 90s when it sounded raw and had all the energy of 70s punk with the musicianship of the 80s (without the cheese lol)...now its all these scene kids who are lame as fuck who just mince about in drainpipes producing over produced pop punk with screaming over it...its sad to see
yeah brings back memories iwas 14 at the time this came out good stuff bette davis told kim carnes thank you for taking my name to a new generation of people
Damn!!! how many mamories from my chilhood in Acapulco this songs brings me!!! I was just eleven when this song came out. The 80's music was great, today's music is not even average. Greetings from Mexico!!!
I remember this video from when I was a little kid! Wow, takes me back. First time I heard the song, I was going home from my friend's house, someone was jamming it in their house.
the crappy music of today has renewed my appreciation of 80's music...I remember working out to this song on an aerobics 'record' with my mom...good times...
