my dad used to sing this to me every night when he tucked me in... now i'm 12 and he hasnt sang this since i was 4... I just remembered it and had to figure out what the name is... I <3 you dad.
I enjoyed this vid up until the goddamn juxtaposition of MLK with Barack Obama.
I'm willing to bet that if he were alive today, MLK would DESPISE shits like Obama, Sharpton, and Jackson who would self-righteously play the racecard and PERPETUATE racial tensions. MLK wanted PEACE and LOVE between all creeds and colors.
@SickBritKid Na =[, they are only pointing out the truth: racism and discrimination still exist =[. And a person who promotes peace and love is someone who understands, and doesn't despise =[ or hate =[
They still exist, but playing race card and crying wolf at every tiny thing said against a black person only serves to perpetuate tensions and desensitize the American public to TRUE racism.
You know who does that shit? Jackson, Sharpton, and Obama!
On April 3rd, his airline flight to Memphis was delayed by a bomb threat against his plane. With a thunderstorm raging outside, King delivered the last speech of his life, now known as the "I've Been to the Mountaintop":
Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!"
where's the MLK's for today?????......God knows they are needed......what public official dare even pray on his knee's in public such as this hero did, right?..............here we go.............
I sang this with a professional choir once... it was a truly moving song to sing.
I love it. Thank you for the slideshow.
Last night, on my way back from a Hockey Game in which I sang the National Anthem with my Select Choir group, a friend of mine sung this for me, as I fell asleep. It was amazing.
Nicely done!! I just watched this with my 5 year old boy (3 times at his request) ... I sing this tune to him nightly... the scene with the kids playing together looks just like his classroom, all colors and creeds together. The dream is being realized.. slowly but surely. Tears in my whiteman's eyes.

All Obama wants to do is play class warfare.
