Those big missiles are so silly. Honestly how many kids do you know, let alone heard of, took out an eye from a TF missile, no matter the size? I grew up with toys that are now considered dangerous, myself and EVERY kid I grew up with turned out fine. Relatively speaking of course, growing up to be a criminal is a different matter I should think.

AUTOROBOT TRASFORMER (equivalent of CAR ROBOT=subline of japanese DIACLONE).So these robot aren't sentient but everyone has his little driver(dianaut,with magnetic feets)and there were no really GOOD and EVIL.Really in japan,with previous wave of space ship(great Diaclone, Warudaros...)Diaclone=good and alien Warda=evil.

So "Decepticon","Autobot","TraNsf­ormerS" are next idea.

Again... aren't transformers as you know. Are DIACLONE, pre transformers toys line selled in italy under name TRASFORMER (1983-1984). In this line are drone, not sentient robot. So not exists autobots and decepticon. This spot is done before of american cartoon. Enjoy.

It's very likely to be....none of them! All the car designs were used for the Autobots only. The Decepticons were jets, or were taken from the Microman line of toys. I'm not 100% sure if the jets made it to Diaclone, but the contructicons did though. Also heroic robots sell better in Japan then evil robots, so it's likely that quite a few orginal Decepticon toys weren't designed until Takara decided to re-released their toys as 'Transformers'.

No, it was a corporate merger. The company is called 'Takara-Tomy' in Japan. But outside Japan, they just trade as Tomy.

Ohhh.....I see now. Even though I'm happy that they're making high-quality G1 toys (unlike Hasbro who are currently unapologetic), but I'm sad at the same time that the Takara mold imprint on the toys are no longer there. There's only Tomy's imprint now. How sad.

If you buy directily from Japan, all boxes will say Takara Tomy! Transformers toys sold outside Japan are still the property of Hasbro!

Yeah, I know the TakaraTomy name are printed on the Japanese TF toys (G1 Encore, G1 Masterpiece, Heneki, BinalTech), but the current toys themselves only have the Tomy name branded on their body parts over the Takara name. That's what I'm referring to, and that's what I'm sad about. You know what I mean now sir?

Yep, I was born in 1973, I'm ancient compaired to today gen! Anyway, I liked the old Gen1 TF for a while but moved on. Seeing old adverts like this crack me up. I like the new movie much more, it makes more sense. If these robotic creature did exist, they wouldn't look blocky or so bright. The old TV show was...rather silly but fun, the old animated movie suck eggs hard! Too many continuity screw ups!

Also, keep in mind the old Gen1 TF toys were actually from the even older Diaclone toyline, many were just reapints and recasts. They odd looking chins, don't know why, just the design style of the day. A lot of those Diaclone/TF toys were from the 1970s and early 1980. The one thing I really like about the TF concept is that they could be any vehicle, anywhere! After the third Gen1 season/post movie things got horribly stupid and both the Japanese and American writes fucked things up real bad!

Oh, the new 2008 series.....horrible! It's not worth my time and I'm getting a bit old for that stuff! And why does every TF series have a cute, little yellow buddy bot in them? No, I can't stand the new stuff but do bear in mind this is aimed at the 5 to 12 crowd and what those silly writers come up with can never match the ideas in my mind or yours! That's why it sucks so hard!

Really? Our TF toys in the US actually shot their missiles directly in the kids eye or mouth for maximum effect! Only in Japan were the TF toys twice as dangerous, some spit raw flame and burned kids hair off! Safety caps, who needs 'em!! :o)

Yep, they sure don't make 'em like they used to! I miss toys with sharp metal edges, tiny breakable, spring launched parts that could easily put an eye out! Kids who grew up in the '80s grew up fairly tuff! Don't get me started on Tonka trucks!

i was born in 89 so i missed all the good shit but i did play with a lot of fire...plus my uncle has all those metal transformers...he also had this crazy ass copter game the thing was on a long pole attached to a middle pod..the controller was on a cord...the copter would fly around in circles up and down and slice kids foreheads off, it was so cool..when your face looks like an Arbys roast beef sandwhich you win!!!

Are bopped missiles. Gig imported these robot in italy (before as TRASFORMER, and after as TRANSFORMERS) but changed original bullet with this kind of projectile so we italian are blind less than rest of world. lol. same for micronauts also.
