Can I get the much longer version of this entire drawing from start to finish, as it doesn't matter if hours were spent in producing this wonderful piece, right here!?
@iruruu Wow! that is interesting!, im totally going to try that next time i try and do an ink!...but first im going to watch a few more speed paints...plus subscribe to this person
to all those people that r using their tablet as an excuse for their shitty art consider this, This dude's great, but I've seen like 10x better art that have been drawn on bamboo fun and intuos3.
I would never get a Cintiq for various reasons, price not being a factor because if it was worth it, I would definitely buy one. But I don't see the point in getting one when the Cintiq monitor itself isn't as good in image quality as a good IPS monitor. Also it's not too practical when you are using a keyboard along with it.
I personally prefer a tablet over a Cintiq. Without factoring price, the problem with something like a Cintiq is the size and the space it takes up. Also, despite the price, Wacom really skimped on the quality of the monitor, it's nowhere near as good in image quality as a good IPS monitor. Plus it's inconvenient especially when you are working with your keyboard along with the Cintiq. It's a cool tech device but tablet and monitor is more practical and comfortable in the long run.
I just got a tablet Thursday. Nothing fancy, just a basic Bamboo Pen. But I've already seen an improvement in my art. This is a great tutorial, thank so much for sharing!
drawing on the computer is like learning how to draw "again". so it's like going back to page 1. it'll take lots of practice to get the hang of it, but you'll get there eventually. however, if you already know how to draw, the process will probably be easier and smoother for you as you progress through computer art. It's a totally different medium, but it's essential in the amazing pace that art is evolving today.
Maybe you totally didn't want me to know this, but you used the default compositions from GarageBand. It's fine. I think it's a step in the right direction compared to those who choose clips from licensed music. Exceptions may apply.
@MastirZen There are better, cheaper programs out there, so don't save up all your money for a program for professionals. If anything, get photoshop elements to see how you like the program. You really shouldn't get photoshop unless you will be making money off your drawings.
@hellsunderground83 sorry it got cut off. It teaches how to make sentences and learn words and some customs in japan. It's a really good book, and I learned a lot in a few ways. Rosetta stone is also good, but I heard that costs a lot. ^_^
@hellsunderground83 well, I am currently studying Japanese because I want to study abroad to. I picked up on simple phrases, like how do you do and such. I also have a book called mastering conversational Japanese for beginners, which is a simple but really good book that teaches
hey does anyone here know the best way for learning Japanese. Im looking to study in Japan, so I'd really appreciate it if people could please give me a few ideas, thanks :)
Man, my drawings suck. Im getting better but slowly. Is there really NOTHING to say but "practice practice practice" i wanna bring what's in my head to life but.... It's just not happening T_T. Maybe il do some marijuana....
omg fucking awesome! really amazing and i was depressed hard when it said "rough sketch finished". i just thought "lol, bad joke? oO" :D i really admire this thumps up und 10/10!
Though I must say that I likje the second sketch version better, without the pure black spots, I still like your way of drawing a character, it's quite similar with mine =D
I use a program "Manga Studio EX 4.0" It's easy sometimes, but what i need progress in, is the roughsketch part. It takes me days to learn about this sort of thing. With proportions and what-not. I usually use "thick" sketches in my drawings. And NOW i know what i always get lost in the inking process. Also, "yes" I use a "non-screen" tablet. I'm getting used to it though. And this video has shown me quite the progress. ^-^ 5/5
Okay when doing inking how do you make the liens so perfectly straight can someone please explain this to me, ive drawn more on paper so I need to figure this out
Well, having a big tablet works. Having one with a built-in screen is even better (and more expensive), but what really makes an artist good is tons and tons of practice.
That's "all" there is to it. There is no magic pill. Just like you got used to drawing on paper, you have to learn how to draw using a tablet. Your lines will be jagged in the beginning, but as you progress your lines will become better. You'll develop a feel for it over the months and years to come.
@kethoth Nooooo. That is why being a LAZY artist sucks. Drawing pictures of monsters, robots, cute girls, power blasts, and Abe Lincoln highfiving Winston Churchil as the drive super tanks and run over martians, is frigg'n awesome. Not being able to do that cause you don't practice enough sucks. Practice more.
@Demoras totally agree with you....its just sorta hard when the tablet you use is a Wacom Bamboo and you constantly change your drawing style (my current situation)
@CroSSGuardXX Hmm that one is smaller, isn't it? Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I used to draw with a Wacom PenPartner, a really tiny tablet. I've returned to using pen, paper and ink nowadays, but back in the day I did eventually get used to using a really small tablet, haha!
@Demoras HAHA not really i have a Wacom Bamboo Fun the problem with this tablet is....THE PRESSURE SENSITIVITY IS HORRBLE it reacts sort of akwardly to some things
@Demoras Yeah its pretty annoying to draw with it ALTOUGH i have made some decent stuff IDEK what the problem is its either lack of practice or sensitivity or both so yeah being an artist sux...but imm still insisting
@Biogrunt The key to inking is to have cleaner sketch lines. If youre sketch is way too rough, way too thick, the you'll have no idea where to ink.
After that, use broad and quick movements of the arm to produce a smooth line. If the line falls out of place, undo and redo. Keep doing this until it's perfect.
@PieJesuG Yeah, but sometimes I ctrl+z like 100 times :D Sometimes it even takes longer to make a line that I like T_T And now my tablet doesn't work anymore :(
@Biogrunt You just have to make the line in a blow... don't draw it slow... it will go around shaky and thick... That's not quite what you want, but when you'll get the movement you may be able to make the lines slower and more precise... As a beginner you have to use (and not only begging rofl) like alot of Undo ( Ctrl+Z ) ... Funny stuff... :D Good luck!
From the looks of it, the artist selects the the space around the character with the magic wand tool, and then inverts the selection. Fill it up with a colour, et voilà.
this vids aweesome and i like the music reminds me of the store my family owned (such an awesome time) i use the manga studio debut program myself but u have the cintiq thats major cash right there i gots a bamboo fun (so cute) but i like it 5 stars
what's the software that is used to creat this amazing picture? cuz it seems to make drawin manga a heck of a lot easier ^^ and can i know cost as well cuz its clearly an expensive piece of software :) ta x
Novice draftsmen should always plan an illustration, if you want it to look good and professional of course. Ryusuke has been drawing for many years, so his stuff will look good enough without planning. Otherwise it's always fun to draw and paint :]
One tip for people without tablets, mouse is a good drawing tool as well, if you slow down your cursor speed you can get accurate drawing lines and curves, it's not meant for speed or painting, it's just pinpoint precision.
He used a new layer so that he could draw over it with out hurting the actual sketch :D He probably also changed the opacity on the rough draft to make it lighter so on the outline can be seen more clearly :3 (I do this stuff too X3)
I feel like such a noob, for not even understanding how the program and the drawing part works when it's CG... =.= no one ever told me... no one can draw like that with a MOUSE, can they?
You don't have to put a swear word ever other word, it doesn't help your case at all. If you want people to take you seriously try using full words and sentences, otherwise people will just laugh at you, like I am right now. Now go troll off else where or keep replying to things that don't matter that much anyways, this comment is only a tip to help you try and sound at least intelligent.
really, you couldn't come up with anything better, you just make yourself seem stupid throwing random words into a sentence like that. and why insult someone who has an opinion?
somebody needs to calm the fuck down. one person gives some constructive criticism, and you go ape shit on them for it, maybe you should be the one to stop replying
Rofl... So XDETHpianist, You Stalked KillerMime5 To His House? How Else Will You See His Face? Rofl... And At Night, Too*
Btw Using Swear Words Like That Doesn't Make You Sound Cool, You Sound Like Some 8 Year Old Who Heard His Parents Swearing at each other for the first time... -.-
Then Just Answer This, In All The Comments Below, Why Do You Swear So Often? Everyone That Replied About YOur Comment, Didn't Swear All That Much, But Your Replies Below Them, Have You Swearing Consistantly At them -.-
Yea Your Right, I'm A Retard For Joining A Dispute That Occured Between 1 - 2 Weeks Ago, But Swearing Constantly Like That, Will Only Make You Look Bad...
You're Around 14 - 20 Right? Well Then Shouldn't Act Sane? Anyways Good Luck With Your Videos, Just Watch Wat U Write...

By the way, the right leg from my point of view seemed a little shoddy. Of course, it's better than I could ever even come close to doing.
