@pflynnification About to relaunch the series and start churning out some new videos. I will make sure we cover sound design. I have a lot of different laser samples on my hard drive that I've acquired over the years. There's a couple of links on my website with links to archives of free wav sounds. However, we can get our lasers on. I will start thinking about that
Just for an extra tip about getting rid of the snap at the first of the Sample sound, if you intend to put a compressor in the same channel of the Sample sound and side chain it to a Drum-Kick from a Drum Rack channel it would also terminate the Snap as the compressor would take the first bit of the Sample sound and change it to the Drum-Kick instead.. but eventually getting rid of it is also the best option.
Will you PLEASE make a tutorial on Live performance producer DJing with Ableton? Using it’s full potential…your own loops and midi sequencing/playing, understanding how to develop a workflow that suits your DJ style? you get what I’m saying. PLEASE DOOO IIEEEET
@FYICREW Are you talking about going from the studio to live with your own beats? I'm building a tutorial on that topic right now - check out the Tom Cosm studio to live set tutorial, his videos were the basis for my studio to live techniques
Seriously awesome stuff Nalepa. Keep em comming. The section on Thirds really helped me man. I would love some tutorials on Glitch Mob Style Synths, or some song construction similar to Artists Like Pretty Lights.
@BuglerMusic Thanks. When Boreta was a guest in my class someone asked him about that, and he said they like to layer synths. If you make an Instrument Rack and have several different synths loaded up into different chains, you can create a bigger than life sound. Maybe one is a fat sinewave bass synth, another a nasty mid range growler, etc. Fill out the frequency range with the different synths. Then one melody plays all of them at once. Maybe add a compressor after all of them and voila.
@BuglerMusic Glitch Mob synths are heavily layered beasts. Some distortion, some sidechained. If you layer several different synths together all playing the same chord or progression, you can get a big full sound.
Thanks for the inspiration. I use Logic so I can only use your Ableton videos as general ideas but it's possible to convert it. Make more on Logic also.
@rawstarmusic We definitely have tutorials on Logic, Dubspot's Matt Shadetek is a master at Logic and a talented producer. Dig around on the Dubspot blog or youtube channel.
sweet :D never crossed my mind to loop those wave shapes that come with Live , besides being really fast and easy, also can reduce some serious CPU usage

So many great point are made in this video. Some of my best tracks were made entirely on an EMX1.

@djpaulhannon Hi. Just realized this myself.
To get the wave you just have to download the "Live 7 Legacy pack" from ableton dot com.
