This movie is why EVE is IMO the toughest MMO out there- if you're too trusting of people and don't do your research, you set yourself up for very big falls, like this one. If you don't watch out for yourself, no one else, not your corpmates, not the GMs, nobody, is going to watch out for you.
You don't have to watch out for stuff like this in most other MMOs, which is why EVE is such a challenging game for many to do well in.

I thought this was a part of EVE online, distrust, broken rules, alliances and pirating, politics and empires. Just the wrong place in the wrong time, this is why people play this game. It is just like a true Sci-fi story that unfolds with twists turns, good times and bad times. If you don't want something like this to happen, dont trust anyone, don't go into 0.0 alone and expect the un-expected. It's what makes this game unlike any other out there.
I think you're only supposed to brag about something when it's a feat, or, you know, something spectacular. 10 or 15 guys luring someone who has helped them in the past somewhere and then killing him 10 or 15 vs. 1 is fairly unspectacular or worthy of praise.
Now if YOU had been lured there by 15, and had killed them all by yourself, that would be worth seeing. This is just a waste of 4:40, however.

Simple. Goon don't recruit ingame. Lots of people think Goon is just another alliance and try to join. IMO they almost deserve to be blown up for wanting to join. Goon is just the player element of 'Something Awful', an internet society of jerks who's only goal is to grief and mess up people who want to play online games, by any means. Simply put: They're about ruining the games for anyone else. Think that is fun? Want to be a Goon? Join SA first.
Shoulda did as much damage as he could to the weakest enemies, call in his drones, and self destruct. No loot, a little bit of a chip off the shoulder for being dumb, and only a little satisfaction for the enemy, rather then a kill, loot, and his drones he had out.
While I feel for the guy getting scammed into losing a capital ship, this is what makes Eve great, the ability to deceive or be deceived. Do not trust strangers with anything you value in Eve, whether it's isk or a ship. Some lessons are just learned the hard way. This is also why real people you can trust in game are so important, and why paybacks almost always are worth the effort and patience.
Blatant scamming in WoW you get banned for, Eg, send me 1g and your account info and i will get you a full tier # set. Scamming as in "hey bring your character here for 20 gold." you won't banned for.
I'm not focused on anything, I agree with you, Eve has a million reasons to be thought of as the greatest MMO ever. This is just one aspect. Last time I looked you couldn't get scammed like this in any other games. What game lets you lose your most valuable items? WoW would have a conniption if they could get ganked and relieved of all their epics just cause they entered the wrong raid party.

Its commonly known that in order to play EVE you *must* have a decent working brain, otherwise you wont understand jack shit of it. Even a 6 year old can play WoW, without understanding what he's doing.
A friend of me has a kid brother approaching 7. He plays WoW on his brothers account who doesn't uses it anymore. Now I come over there and often see him playing WoW, and I asked him once "Do you understand what's going on?"
He said something about going to a dungeon with guild friends to kill stuff, but that it was repetitively boring and easy and wished the game was more difficult.

its 15 dollars USD per month i think, i havent payed in 9 months, you play the game, and get good at something enough to make money, you use your in game money to pay for the subscription, and luckily a month subscription only costs about 4 or 5 days of work to pay for
so you burn yourself out playing for 4 days, worrying about paying for the game, and then you take the rest of the 26 days off to recover

EVE is about hardcore PVP. If you didnt know that going in you didnt do enough research on the game. I am a casual gamer and hate PVP but if I did play EVE I wouldnt cry about getting ganked because I expect it to happen.(alot and often).
CCP is the one who made the game like that. I am fairly pissed that they dont offer a PVP Lite server or NO PVP server for casuals and carebears.
Yes, all PvP in Eve occurs on the test server. PvP and other dishounourabble acts have no place on the live server! There's a reason it's called Tranquility.

I'm not focused on anything, I agree with you, Eve has a million reasons to be thought of as the greatest MMO ever. This is just one aspect. Last time I looked you couldn't get scammed like this in any other games. What game lets you lose your most valuable items? WoW would have a conniption if they could get ganked and relieved of all their epics just cause they entered the wrong raid party.

Say that to the fella that gets he's epics ninja looted in a PUG raid. WoW is the only MMORPG that i know of that doesn't have serious negatives to dying There is still scamming in WoW, it is just being scammed in wow doesn't cary the same negatives as eve.

Eve you can spend years building something up... to have it taken in a second.. this is our point. btw ha? In almost all mmo's when you die the negatives are no where near as bad as they can be in eve...
In eve you can literally lose skill points if your clone is not updated, that's months of training...

Its commonly known that in order to play EVE you *must* have a decent working brain, otherwise you wont understand jack shit of it. Even a 6 year old can play WoW, without understanding what he's doing.

A friend of me has a kid brother approaching 7. He plays WoW on his brothers account who doesn't uses it anymore. Now I come over there and often see him playing WoW, and I asked him once "Do you understand what's going on?"
He said something about going to a dungeon with guild friends to kill stuff, but that it was repetitively boring and easy and wished the game was more difficult.
I lol'd, showed him EVE and he didn't understand a thing, but he liked the explosions. Nuff said.

Meh in Eve your allowed to ruthlessly scam.. havn't found another mmo where you can truly fuck someone over as much as you can in eve. It is one of the major parts of eve also. It's a major aspect of the social part..

its 15 dollars USD per month i think, i havent payed in 9 months, you play the game, and get good at something enough to make money, you use your in game money to pay for the subscription, and luckily a month subscription only costs about 4 or 5 days of work to pay for
so you burn yourself out playing for 4 days, worrying about paying for the game, and then you take the rest of the 26 days off to recover

EVE is about hardcore PVP. If you didnt know that going in you didnt do enough research on the game. I am a casual gamer and hate PVP but if I did play EVE I wouldnt cry about getting ganked because I expect it to happen.(alot and often).
CCP is the one who made the game like that. I am fairly pissed that they dont offer a PVP Lite server or NO PVP server for casuals and carebears.

Yes, all PvP in Eve occurs on the test server. PvP and other dishounourabble acts have no place on the live server! There's a reason it's called Tranquility.

This is how Goonswarm recruits. They tell you to go to somewhere in 0.0 sec in order for you to join the allaince. Instead they web scram you and before you know it you will be back into a station without your pod. That is the truth behind Goonswarm recruitment.
