With proper management, Haley will be a bigger earner than even Carrie Underwood. Haley's ability to sing all kinds of songs will ultimately make her rise above any of the country singing earnings records. She should record all kinds of albums, torch songs, blues, rock, country, and anything else she wants to. Her fans will buy all of them, and she'll develop more fans from each and every other genre she records.

I understand that Universal Music Group had weekly meetings with Idol dawgs to strategize how they would manipulate the votes so the ones they wanted to would win. You could sure see it in the judges (at least JLo and Randy) comments, and young heads full of mush who don't know anything about music just followed their lead like sheep when they voted. The whole thing was planned. America didn't pick the Idol, the Idol execs did.
I gotta say, among all the performances of top 13 till top 2, Haley's songs are the ones that I remember the most while scotty and lauren? hmm not so much...

Seriously, listen to the run that Haley does in the middle of "I who have nothing",...actually listen to the whole song and it's abvious she is the ONLY idol on that show who has the talent to nail that song the way she did, lauren would have done it boring, probably hitting the notes, but not doing the runs (cause she cant) and not holding the high notes, and definitely wouldn't look as good singing it or have even close to the stage presence....Haley is better is EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY possible
Haley was offered the rights to sing Led Zeppelin by the group when they heard her sang House of the rising Sun. Adam had to request for his rights from them to use their song. To be offered the rights by the music rock royalty, it is validation of a great honor that Haley is super cool staff. Although Haley is definitely a great singer no doubt, her shock at not winning out over Lauren was so obvious it was disgusting. Not disappointment...pure shock. And she showed that by not even reaching out to hug Lauren first and everybody noticed. She had to be hugged by Lauren before she even acknowledged her defeat and congratulated the right girl for the finale....She may sing great but she has that pure fake front she puts on, and she certainly thought she had it won hands down...wrong!!

Steven Tyler has actually helped with producing lot's of music (besides his own). If American Idol needs a Black Man & Latin Woman... I Suggest Quincy Jones & Gloria Estefan! Randy is great Bassist, and JLo has a great ass + a talented hubby. They really have proven they do not know much about A&R or production by their comments and their choices on this show. Good news for Haley now, is that she will be far more successful than if she would have won, with top producers instead of A.I. jokes!
Haley is definitely beautiful, but she has amazing vocal ability. She is talented. Those runs are not easy, it takes confidence and hard work, and some singers just aren't capable of doing them. As a singer/ composer/artist I know what it takes to sing and perform that way. It's not just her looks, maybe J.Lo has a recording contract because of her looks, because she can't sing live worth shit.
This really sucks! First James, then Haley? WTF! I agree this is show should be called Country Idol. Haley is beautiful, has the whole package, can sing anything; rock, jazz, blues, pop and country. Don't get me wrong, I think that Scotty has a great chance of winning, he really is a good COUNTRY singer. Lauren on the other hand shows no conviction when she is singing, she's too shy and does not sing to her full potential. This is a popularity contest instead of a singing contest.
With how quickly she got her record deal and how quickly she recorded the first single, I think it is reasonable to assume that she had already been in discussions with Interscope before being eliminated. She may not have had a written agreement at the time but she probably knew that their was a good probability that she had a safety net. I think that is why she ended it the way she did, not because she is arrogant.
If they are gonna rig this show they should at least choose a winner that people will like, will sell some albums, and is marketable. Instead they choose mediocre, teen, country singers. Good job idol even you don't know want talent is. Why did you get rid of such an incredible singer and who had the only chance of increasing your ratings, saving this show from being a joke, and being a successful winner.
She should have won in my opinion,taking into account this is supposed to be a "singing" competition.She has the best voice and the best presence, the best performance. She didn't threw a fit over losing and she gave it her best on her goodbye song! she looked in my eyes like a true professional and someone who can get far. American Idol is obviously being overrun by teen fan girls for the last couple of years. I know who's gonna win now anyways. Its Scotty. Pretty darn obvious. I think the problem lies in that Oprah has been so heavily focused on her mega successful talk show in which she owns every aspect of it from the studios, the production company, etc., etc., etc., which is uncharacteristic of most celebrities, that she has had no time to focus on herself. It takes a lot of focus to lose weight and stay in shape especially when in your genes as both her parents are obese

I have a decision to make........Next week I can, grab me a beer, put on my 10 Gallon hat, slip on my Shit- Kickers, and FIRE-UP some Skoal, or now that the best singer of the 3 that were left is gone, I can finally catch up on some much needed things around my home............I think I will probably do my things around the house. I have a littel different take on things. First of all, until we got to the top 10, there was no question in my mind that the right folks were going through. The judges this year exceeded my expectations. Even my wife, who is not a big rocker, thought that Steven Tyler was unbelievable. I am not a huge pop fan, b
ut my daughters are, and I found Jennifer to be a very thoughtful judge all the way and for a Diva to be so "REAL" was quite refreshing.
I believe so too aljawia, the voters were influenced by the judges' comments on Haley. And, is it just me, or is there anyone out there who feels that Haley's been sabotaged? I mean look at their song choices for Scotty and Lauren, I'm not a great singer but I know a good and easy song, and I believe Haley's song was the hardest to sing. Alanis' songs are not easy to do, although I believe Haley did the song justice. Well done Haley, you are amazing and you are American Idol to me!!

Mrhemishpherical you said exactly what I have been saying. Haleys voice was original. She is original and her range was by far the best of them all. Lauren and especially Scotty sound like everyone else. They can't hold a candle to Haley. We didn't need another country singing American idol ,we needed something different.
It's all up the americans who made the votes...americans chose who they wanted to be in the FINALE....but sometimes in the competition like this the 1 that is voted out is the 1 who will make a great impact and will be recognize as a star and real American Idol...so Haley keep it up and sing more....:)
While listening to the radio if a Scotty or Lauren tune is played I will not recognize their voices as they blend with all the other singers that sound just like them.
If a Haley song comes on I'm sure I will say "Thats Haley Reinhart" She is different and stands out in a crowd of sing-a-likes. We have many sound alike county artists, do we really need 2 more? I like country music and believe Carrie Underwood stands out and deserved to win, but I wouldn't drive across town to see 2 left.

Seriously, listen to the run that Haley does in the middle of "I who have nothing",...actually listen to the whole song and it's abvious she is the ONLY idol on that show who has the talent to nail that song the way she did, lauren would have done it boring, probably hitting the notes, but not doing the runs (cause she cant) and not holding the high notes, and definitely wouldn't look as good singing it or have even close to the stage presence....Haley is better is EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY possible

Haley was offered the rights to sing Led Zeppelin by the group when they heard her sang House of the rising Sun. Adam had to request for his rights from them to use their song. To be offered the rights by the music rock royalty, it is validation of a great honor that Haley is super cool staff. Although Haley is definitely a great singer no doubt, her shock at not winning out over Lauren was so obvious it was disgusting. Not disappointment...pure shock. And she showed that by not even reaching out to hug Lauren first and everybody noticed. She had to be hugged by Lauren before she even acknowledged her defeat and congratulated the right girl for the finale....She may sing great but she has that pure fake front she puts on, and she certainly thought she had it won hands down...wrong!!

Steven Tyler has actually helped with producing lot's of music (besides his own). If American Idol needs a Black Man & Latin Woman... I Suggest Quincy Jones & Gloria Estefan! Randy is great Bassist, and JLo has a great ass + a talented hubby. They really have proven they do not know much about A&R or production by their comments and their choices on this show. Good news for Haley now, is that she will be far more successful than if she would have won, with top producers instead of A.I. jokes!

Haley is definitely beautiful, but she has amazing vocal ability. She is talented. Those runs are not easy, it takes confidence and hard work, and some singers just aren't capable of doing them. As a singer/ composer/artist I know what it takes to sing and perform that way. It's not just her looks, maybe J.Lo has a recording contract because of her looks, because she can't sing live worth shit.

This really sucks! First James, then Haley? WTF! I agree this is show should be called Country Idol. Haley is beautiful, has the whole package, can sing anything; rock, jazz, blues, pop and country. Don't get me wrong, I think that Scotty has a great chance of winning, he really is a good COUNTRY singer. Lauren on the other hand shows no conviction when she is singing, she's too shy and does not sing to her full potential. This is a popularity contest instead of a singing contest.

With how quickly she got her record deal and how quickly she recorded the first single, I think it is reasonable to assume that she had already been in discussions with Interscope before being eliminated. She may not have had a written agreement at the time but she probably knew that their was a good probability that she had a safety net. I think that is why she ended it the way she did, not because she is arrogant.

Are you bloody serious? I will never watch this show again. The judges aren't honest, the voting is stupid, and the two finalists have the least amount of talent. Scotty slides up to his notes, goes flat all of the time, and sings from his throat. Lauren sings like every teenage american girl who can carry a tune and do a few runs, but she is not talented enough to take it to the next level on stage. Most of all Jlo is a bitch for clearly hating on Haley.

I think the problem lies in that Oprah has been so heavily focused on her mega successful talk show in which she owns every aspect of it from the studios, the production company, etc., etc., etc., which is uncharacteristic of most celebrities, that she has had no time to focus on herself. It takes a lot of focus to lose weight and stay in shape especially when in your genes as both her parents are obese

I mean look at their song choices for Scotty and Lauren, I'm not a great singer but I know a good and easy song, and I believe Haley's song was the hardest to sing. While listening to the radio if a Scotty or Lauren tune is played I will not recognize their voices as they blend with all the other singers that sound just like them.
If a Haley song comes on I'm sure I will say "Thats Haley Reinhart" She is different and stands out in a crowd of sing-a-likes. We have many sound alike county artists, do we really need 2 more? I like country music and believe Carrie Underwood stands out and deserved to win, but I wouldn't drive across town to see 2 left.

Now that haley has left VOTE FOR LAUREN,she's like a mixture of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwoods and she sings pop,rock,and country,3 GENRES and Scotty is good but he only sings country 1 GENRE.Don't choose your american idol just because of looks,choose for talent,personality,and just the voice and style in it.Choose someone who'll sell records not looks..
